How should i sort my mods in Mod Organizer?

I am having all sorts of trouble getting my collection of mods I have installed for fallout New Vegas to run right. It seems like every time I quit the game and rearrange what overwrites and is being overwritten the game either works differently when being played, or won't boot at all. Is there anything wrong with what i have here?

Yes, ive used both that and the standalone LOOT, and the game still seems to crash occasionally. What seems to happen is the game audio stops working, and then it crashes soon after.

Also, where can i find the loadorder.txt?

PC specs:

desktop

8GB ram

EVGA GTX 750ti 2GB

located in C:\Games\steamlibrary\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas

I have FNV 4GB, NVAC, NVSE, YUP, all installed.

First of all, you need to understand the difference between "install order" and "load order". This is covered in the "Terminology" section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

Second, the MO "load order" is saved as a text file under the "Profile" folder. See also this short thread on the STEP site.

Third you can always fire up LOOT and use it to export the "load order". That is described in the "How to ask for Help" wiki article linked in the first response by M48A5.

You can't just move files around in the load order "willy-nilly". LOOT determines "master and dependent" relationships between mods, and then applies some rules that have been developed over the years from feedback. There really isn't anything else that does the equivalent (except BOSS, which it replaces) unless you learn how to do the same things manually, which is why all the mod managers hook into LOOT.

Even then, some conflicts will arise that sorting cannot resolve. That is the purpose of the different sections in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.
