WastelandAssassin

lets go very easy on this

open the SKSE64 archive . inside it , aside from the files there is a readme text

do yourself a favor and read it . it has very simple to follow instructions . follow them , don't try to install it in other ways , especially not through NMM

I've never been able to use SKSE-64 with Skyrim SE. Following your simple instructions, this was the result:

You are using a newer version of Skyrim than this version of SKSE64 supports.

If this version just came out, please be patient while we update our code.

In the meantime, please check http://skse.silverlock.org for updates.

Runtime: 1.5.39

SKSE64: 2.0.6

Note that I'm a user of these games, and not a modder or a computer expert. I'm not really sure what "Runtime" refers to. Any suggestions?

That's because you are trying to install the wrong version. Go to silverlock.org and download SKSE64 2.0.7

I can not get skse64 and I don't know why. I go to skse.silverlock.org on either internet explorer or chrome and both times I download it to the desktop. No matter what it has the internet explorer icon and when I try to open it a window pops up but quickly closes then another pops up that gives be two options to open it or save it. If I hit open the same window pops up and if I hit save it just redownloads to the desktop. I have effectively put myself in checkmate with no escape. Can someone help me because I am out of ideas.

what file do you get when you download it?

what is the exact name of the file that you get?

do you have a program like winrar or 7z installed?

all in all , it sounds like you either don't download the correct file , or your computer doesn't know how to open that file

still doesn't explain the internet icon........ needs more info

I had this issue once or twice, too. Trying to download something from the internet resulted in a corrupted file flagged as html-file (hence the internet-icon). Not sure if this is maybe a windows bug or something. BTW, I'm using Firefox as my standard browser. Reinstalling Firefox solved the issue for me.
