I also would have thought that the first DLC would have expanded on the Thalmor situation, instead of focussing on overgrown mosquitoes, but the chance to further prove the fact that I don't have a life anymore will get the better of me...... well I use to have a life, but then I took an arrow to the..... :whistling: Edited by breakwind

Stormcrown:

I'm still sort of surprised that the OP made the description

"Don't want to get burned twice"

Assuming that EVERYONE thinks they got burned from Skyrim.

I'm sorry, but I DEFINITELY got $60 worth.

500 hours played.

Definitely.

500 hours played? So is that actually 500 hours played, or 200 hours played and 300 hours trying to get it to work with the mods you really want to use? That would probably be my ratio at this point.

In theory, yes I will buy it but I will wait to hear what others think of it first.

Skyrim is the best game I have ever played to date and I feel I more than got my money's worth despite the frustration with a whole host of quest bugs which still have not been fixed.

The mods being produced here are so darned good that to be honest, I think any DLC's will simply be a lightweight bonus. As others have said, some of the mods are likely to be better than a Bethesda produced DLC.

My only worry is whether the mods I am running will be compatible with Dawnguard or any future DLC's?

Funny reading on these threads about 'bugs' I have played through all the main quest lines and several minor ones 7 or 8 times now and I have only come across one major bug, well one that I had to use the console to continue. A few funny quirks that I put down to the AI pathways but nothing to ruin gameplay, and a few mod quirks. Overall I have been very pleased at the quality of the game

If it's not a mod that adds to the story or at least makes the existing story better then I have absolutely no interest in it. Vampire lords? No thanks, you can accomplish that with 1-2 mods within 5 minutes. Crossbows? Bethesda's only half a year behind modders, we already have rifles and flintlock pistols ffs.

Skyrim is a great game, but Bethesda's only good at the following things:

- Hiring good voice actors

- Writing the dialogues

- Designing overall story

- Beautiful scenary

DLC contains only Bethesda's weaknesses (mainly character design and combat), and modders are much better at those things.
