  1. No idea. My character is at level 73 now and it has taken me many years to get there so I'm not keen to start all over again.
  2. For some time now, my game has become permanently blurred with anything in the distance impossible to see and anything further than about 6 meters from my player badly blurred. It isn't motion blur because it continues even when nothing is moving. I'm not sure but I think this started after upgrading to the Anniversary edition. Screenshot attached. I tried turning off Depth Of Field but that did not help. I have added no new mods since before the problem began. Any suggestions for getting rid of it would be greatly appreciated. 3. Can't you put Steam into offline mode before starting Skyrim?
  4. Hi, I'm running Vortex 1.4.15 and have 4 games on my PC, Skyrim, Witcher III GOTY, Prey (2017), and Horizon Zero Dawn, but only Skyrim has been detected. I first specified the partition and Games folder. When that produced nothing, I ran a scan of the exact game folder for each game. Still nothing. The missing 3 were all purchased on GOG and have been installed using the offline installers whereas Skyrim was bought on Steam. I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64 v21.H1. I know that all 3 are supported on Nexus but perhaps they are not Vortex supported?
  5. Actually, it appears I didn't solve it. Despite Vortex successfully importing all my mods and cleaning out those that were no longer valid, starting a new game results in catastrophe. The opening video rolls around the screen like it was a shirt in a front-loading washing machine. The mouse has no effect on that. Once they arrive at Helgen I am able to create my player but after the dragon visits and I follow the guy into the tower he bounces up and down continuously and I have zero control. I can't even exit the game without using Ctrl/Alt/Del.
  6. After reinstalling all my mods and updating them with Vortex, then sorting with Loot and installing the latest version of SKSE64, I launched the game only to find that the QUIT option had disappeared. Disabling SkyUI made it return. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this issue please?
  7. Hello guys! I admit I have not played Skyrim for about a year now but I got the urge to revisit because I just got a new gaming laptop. The problem is, although I copied everything over to the new machine, as soon as I launched the game, I was in the last scene I left off at but my character is completely naked and all my mods appear to be dead, even though they are still in the correct folders and Loot recognized them all. Thinking that maybe the problem came from a Steam update, I opened my previous machine and ran the game there. Exactly the same thing happened. Can anyone tell me why this has happened and what I can do to fix it, or do I just need to start a new game? I hope not because I had reached level 73.
  8. Every update since v1.5.3 has resulted in a CTD for me. After the latest update I again had to rollback to 1.5.3 in order to get the game to run. Can anyone tell me how I might be able to use the latest build, short of disabling all my mods of which I don't have that many? Incidentally, I do not have SKSE64 or SkyUI installed, nor any mods that require those.
  9. Like many of you, I used to have Oldrim but I only bought the Dawnguard and Dragonborn packs as Hearthfire didn't seem to have anything exciting about it. Other than the bugs, it was a great game so when Skyrim SE was launched it was just too tempting to ignore. The thing is, I've had it for almost a year now and am still wandering around Skyrim. I have never discovered Hearthfire and can't remember how to start Dragonborn. I haven't started Dawnguard but that's easy to get into because the guards never stop their recruitment attempts. So, here's my questions: 1. how do you initiate the Hearthfire and Dragonborn quests, and 2. is there an order of importance or can you trigger any of them at any time you desire? Finally, when I played Oldrim, I sort of got stuck in Solstheim as in couldn't find a way to get back to Skyrim. I got around the problem by starting a new game. Is it not possible to switch from one to another without completing the quest?
  10. I actually managed to solve the problem by reinstalling SKSE64 v2.0.6 and my backed-up Skyrim.exe v1.5.3.0. So the game runs again but I admit I would like to be able to run the latest version of Skyrim.exe as I am sure it contains needed bug fixes.
  11. Ok, so I'm one of those that understands practically nothing. Cleaning edits and dll's means absolute zilch to me. Steam just updated my game to v1.5.39.0 so I ran NMM to update ID's and mods and then ran Loot which also required updating. Then Loot told me to update SKSE64 to v2.0.7 which I did and now the game CTD's after the loading screen. I am starting it from skse64_loader but I have also tried launching from Steam and NMM. No change, always crashes. Prior to this update I was running SKSE64 v2.0.6, Loot 0.12.4, and SkyrimSE v1.5.3.0. I kept the SkyrimSE.exe's for all versions so can switch between them easily. That said, I tried returning to versions 1.5.3.0 and 1.5.23.0 but SKSE64 v2.0.7 wouldn't accept them. Can anyone tell me how to get the game running again please?
  12. Yesterday, I had no problem playing Skyrim. Today, it crashes as soon as I hit either Continue or Load. Has there been an update today? Edit: I solved it. There has been an update to v1.5.23.0 and as usual it bricked my game. Rolled back to v1.5.3.0 and it is working again. I wish there was a way to stop the auto-updates!
  13. I know it is basically cheating but in Oldrim there used to be a mod that allowed you to overpower the Push (Dah) of Unrelenting Force to the point that targets could be sent flying into space. I would like to know if there may be a simple method to achieve that just for the fun aspect, perhaps via changing something in SkyrimPref.ini or maybe even a mod ported to SkyrimSE?
