Remove player indicator

Hello, fellow adventurers.

I request this very simple mod to increase the immersion to this great game even more. Given, vanilla Skyrim is a shiny game for mainstream hack n slash players but a joke for in depth players.

My request: Remove player indicator on world and local maps (after that you could make it optional so players could choose if they want this option on only the world map or local map as well).

My arguments: first of all, you have to agree - it's quite ridiculous that fantasy world such as Skyrim has GPS tracking satelites, orbiting the earth and player carries some (magical?) GPS device to show his position on the map. In my eyes, it totaly destroyes the immersion.

I didn't touch Skyrim for almost 7 months from it's release, hoping that Skyrim gods would bring this messed up world in order in the meantime. I did indeed find some good realism and immersion increasing mods out here but to my frustration, i'm missing this one.

More thoughts: Maybe remove compass as well? It should be an expensive device rather than an integrated visual implant to players sight. (You could later make it acquirable for generous amount of gold - just a suggestion).

Sorry for bumping it but i've just realized that there would be a problem in deleting player indicator on local map (given, player position tracking would also be disabled) because it would still be possible to navigate in unexplored areas using local map. There fore, i suggest to disable the black fog over local map (as if it would be explored) or simply (for more hardcore immersion gamers like myself), disable local map.

You have to agree that again, a hero carrying all the equipment through the Skyrim, getting rained on and having all the needed local maps (as clear as new) at all times is... unnatural.

I realize that this request is a little old now and may have been completed or further discussed elsewhere, but I have been looking for exactly the same thing as requested here, and have yet to find a solution.

I have looked through the skyrimprefs.ini file for an option that would disable it, but so far no luck. Ditto for mods online. I'm not saying either one doesn't exist, but I can't find anything.

A (presumably) simple starting place would be simply to make the player indicator asset invisible. Obviously this does not fully achieve the desired effect, but it would certainly be a good start.

Thanks in advance for any help!
