Deleted12018958User
I chose the main part of Vortex to install in my D:\ drive because it is a lot bigger than my C:\ drive, but the folder in C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Vortex keeps filling up my C:\ drive and capping it with the stuff that loads in on first start of Vortex and a load of imported mods from NMM. I tried the settings in Vortex like the Paths but they don't seem to affect it.
rmm200
It would probably help if you would list the directories you specify under Settings on the Mods and Download tabs. The only game related data in appdata should be tiny, like profiles. Downloads should be empty. And no mods there at all, imported or otherwise.
Deleted12018958User
Well I changed the directories of all three paths to be under D:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Base but the problem is that it seems to ignore that rule I set. Also I don't get what you mean by "under the download tab" because I see the path stuff under mods, but nothing directory related under download... What version Vortex are you running? .016 has three sections on the Download tab.Top is Download with Manager choice.Middle is where you set the Download directory.Bottom is Meta Server. I don't use it.
Deleted12018958User
I am running the version the program started with when I installed it, 0.15.9. Should I check the non-stable version out? I was worried about using that because Skyrim and my modding knowledge make for a rather unstable scene in itself... rmm200
Especially because you have download directory problems - I would say try the testing version out.
Tannin42
What game are you managing? If you use download mods for Skyrim VR or Fallout 4 VR they download to the directory of the corresponding pancake version (SSE or Fallout 4 respectively), that's the problem that 0.16 solves (by having one global download directory that you only have to configure once)
Deleted12018958User
Ok, I just got up this morning and I tried updating to the testing version and it is now working as intended. Which is weird because the download path option under downloads was already in the mods tab but didn't work there... Either way thanks rmm200 Edit: I spoke too soon, because now after I imported my NMM mods the entire mods tab is saying "Failed to render."
