bashibus
Hello, I've modded FO4 in the past without problems, but after taking a 4 months break from the game, reinstalling it and playing i'm facing a consistent problem that I can't solve. I have delved deep into posts with SIMILAR problems, but none of the fixes have worked for me, please halp! In my My Games -> Fallout 4I do the standard line add to Fallout4Custom.ini The add being:[Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= WHEN I DO THIS, 2/3 trees in my game are invisible. They do not appear, their BRANCHES appear, but they do not. This is the only way that weapon mods and all others work, if I don't add these lines then any weapon mod (as an example) is just invisible with sounds that half work. WHEN I DONT DO THIS, my trees become visible and only CERTAIN MODS work. I have no idea why... if it's my load order? I tried re-ordering everything atleast 8 or 9 times.I have done a clean re-install of both FO4 and NMM. I have manually uninstalled ALL mods and reinstalled new ones, same thing. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1497615005https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1497614949https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1497614895https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1497614733 Please let me know what I can do or if I need to provide you geniuses any more info
Deleted3082751User
since you are using NMM: go into Nexus mod manager, click on the Plugins Tab - click on the 5th Icon down - export plugin order as text, and then open that text document and paste the information here. once you have done that, we will go from their. Deleted3082751User
i have feeling Scrap Everything is causing the invisible tree issue. try disabling it, and see if the problem persists Edited September 3, 2018 by Guest
bashibus
You are on to something, I think! When I disabled Scrap everything the trees did re-appear, however.. as soon as I re-added the two [Archive] lines to Fallout4.ini this happened again: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/965348594342312744/52DFF1BB5FA5E3AE428CF4A153BBB442180AA54E/ So all other mods work, the green grass is from "A touch of green"The sky from Vivid weathers, they all work but there are the same floating branches haunting the entire landscape. I can make anything accessible to you for trying to help me with this, it's a struggle and a half
JaYmZeE311074
"scrap everything" should always be close to the last mod in your load order. The only mods I have that come after that are Weaponsmith Extended 2.esp (at the recommendation of the mod author) + the Unlimited Follower Framework and any custom companion mods. Can't promise that'll fix your issue but I'd keep that in mind regardless - if it doesn't fix your current issue it'll help prevent other issues in future.
