I downloaded a modded house and initially disabled a few of the mannequins. Now I find the need for a few but I am unsure as to how to re-enable them.

Is there any other way aside from using a placeatme console command? (which I read causes bloating problems)

enable

That may work unless your actually removed the item.

If it doesn't work, you can remove your personal items from the house, leave the house and reinstall the mod. This should bring it back to the original setup.

Console commands can be found here: Uesp Wiki

I am aware of all the console commands, i am just unsure as to how to use them.

Normally, to disable an object, I would click it, the reference ID would appear, i click type in disable and that would make the object disappear.

If I haven't clicked on any other objects, I would also be able to make the object reappear with the enable command.

The problem now is that I can no longer "click" the disabled object to re-enable it.

Reinstalling the mod would be a last resort, considering I spent a good amount of time decorating it.

I do not know how you could find a reference to an item you disabled from a mod, except to contact the mod author and they could find it in their original file. However, I am not sure what happens to disabled objects in that situation, if the object could be somehow resurrected with just the item. It seems like it might be easier to create a new one with the creation kit, if you don't want to have to reload. Maybe someone else has a better idea?

This may be a solution if you really don't want to reinstall but it seems like a lot of work;

Make a save in the player home you disabled the mannequins in.

Quit to the main menu, open the console and type COC "playerhomename" to find the exact name you can type help "playerhomename" to find a list of entries to find exactly what you need to type as the COC reference.

Select one mannequin in the console, load your save, open the console and type "enable". SAVE and repeat the steps until you have all the mannequins you want back.

-----If:

You cannot get a COC reference for the home you should be able to COC to a nearby cell and manually travel to the home.

Problem solved.

Thanks to everyone who offered to help.

Since I've seen numerous help threads of people who also had this problem, I'll post my solution:

1. Use the Creation Kit to find the object's reference ID, if you already know it, skip to step 4

2. Load Skyrim.esm if the object is in the vanilla world, or if the object was added by a mod, load the respective esp

3. Find the cell where the object is, double click the object and find it's reference editor ID. Remember it

4. Load your game and type "prid (object ID)" into the console, that will lock on to the object.

5. Simply type enable and the object will be re-enabled.
