There's bashed patch there in plain sight at the bottom of the list, but it may be getting pushed out. I would disable or merge some mods to bring the number down to 250 or so.

Having a loadorder like that definitely requires a bashed patch, just to reduce the total of mods below 255 by merging some mods into the bashed patch.

Tony is right about the amount of plugins though, not sure about SSE but every other fallout or skyrim game the max has always been 255, except for Fallout New Vegas since it was not coded correctly, it's actually something like 156 or less

and see that's the problem right there, you referred to the patch as Merged, which tells me you make your patches using Xedit, which 2 of the MAIN contributors to Wrye have explained why you should never use a merged patch for your entire load order, only for merging "like" mods together IE: All armor mods OR all weapon mods. Even the creator of Xedit has said that the merged patch should not be used for the entire load order.

Well, I will take a look at your guide because I'm genuinely interested. However, I am skeptical and I prefer mator smash. Mator does everything WB does and more.

I could care less if you use Wrye or mator smash, but this is the 2nd time you have attacked me in a post. Thousands of people were using Wrye LONG before mator smash came into existance. Wrye used with other tools like LOOT and Tes5Edit are a tried and true proven method. It "sounds" to me like you have never even used Wrye, and if that's true then you are talking out of ignorance because you can't condemn OR condone something unless you know about it and have the facts. I have used Wrye, LOOT, FOMM, NMM, Xedit in every version from Fallout 3 and later. I KNOW these programs, and that simply is why i recommend using them. I'm NOT going to recommend something I have never used.

 

BUT

 

To be fair, I have read up on Mator Smash and quite honestly i DO think it is a good program, will I recommend it, not yet, I do not know enough about it to feel that secure in doing so.

 

As for my own personal guide. That information in all my guide took me 6 months to collect as a beginner, 6 months of painstakingly trying different ways to purposely break my games so that I could provide a fix for that error. Six months of hanging out in the old Nexus chat room bugging the living s*** out of people with my questions lol :tongue:

 

So yea, I am going to continue to recommend Wrye and my guides, if you don't like that then just ignore my post, PLEASE. It's what I am familiar with, it's what I know works, and it's tried and true for thousands of people.

 

Hell, even Gopher uses Wrye and swears by it lol ( mod author, twitch streamer, youtuber - he's the author of IHUD, UHUD, AHUD. and OHUD, among many other mods )
