McclaudEagle
I'm making a river that joins the ocean, but I'm stuck with a problem. I can't figure out how to change the direction of water flow, which is going to cause odd problems, such as water facing back towards the river instead of away from it. Does anyone know how to change water direction?
ub3rman123
Water direction is assigned by the water type. There are water directions such as Flow NE, etc. Double click on the cell name and change the water type. Note that it'll change the entire cell, and you may need to find some way of covering the seam between it and the non-moving water.
McclaudEagle
I know how to do that part. What I meant is that I want to know how to make the different water types have different directions, sorry for not making that clearer.
ub3rman123
After looking around and comparing the vanilla water direction choices, it seems that water direction is set with the Linear Velocity section of the water files, under Water Properties. I don't know if this only affects the force that moves the player or the texture on top of the water, though.
McclaudEagle
I tried that, but nothing changed :(
ub3rman123
Hmm.. I'm not sure then, in that case. Try comparing two vanilla waters that run in different directions and see what it does. I didn't see a texture input for the water, so I assume it's not done with an animated texture.
