vandorssen
This is my first attempt at moding. It is called Hauptstadt Castle. Right now, it consists of just the main keep and a guest manor, but I hope in the future to add quests and NPCs to it. I think I have done well for my first time out. Still would like to script in the music for the main hall. Some notable things regarding the mod: The interior of the castle has what I consider more realistic lighting than what is normally seen through the game. Also, I have tried very hard to keep the interior proportions scaled to the external ones, as well as orienting them the same way. If anyone would like to give the mod a spin (mind you, it is not yet complete, but I would like to know if I am going in the right direction with it), please tell me, and I will send you a copy. Peregrine
One suggestion... even a "flat" landscape isn't perfectly flat. Add some variation in it... right now you've just got a flat plane which doesn't look very good.

Now I know that the terrain is too perfect. And Don88, I had mike send you a copy of it. I can't send large files, but he can. The music file and the .esp file will extract to a folder called Hauptstadt in the root of your C:\ drive (C:\Hauptstadt). He should have included instructions on where to put the files if you do not already know (which, undoubtedly, you do). Never mind the error that pops up as you exit the main hall. I am still learning scripting. Thanks for everyones input.
TheUnforgiven
I really like the layout. Add a few variations in the land and it'll be great :D May I ask what its gonna be used for?
vandorssen
May I ask what its gonna be used for? This was mostly a practice round, to see if I could do it or not. Untill I learn more scripting and how to better edit dialog, it will exist just for what it is. Eventually, I hope to add some basic quests and unique NPC's to go along with it (the "original" version had a NPC named Geves, who was a long time staple of my book and dice RPG group. However, I could not get the dialog to work, and although his data is still in the esp file, he does not appear anywhere in the mod. If you look at the esp in the CS, and click on the NPC tab and scroll down to geeves, you can see what I intended to do.) And, if the above seemed popular enough, I was going to create a whole other faction with approapriate NPCs and more cities/castles/etc, and a background story based on the RPG (book and dice) a friend of mine and I have been developing for 4 years. The General Forces (navy and army) of New Crystia would give the Imperial Legion a run for their money. Again, I greatly appreciate the feedback. TheUnforgiven
Well. If you eventually do plan to do that. Heres a suggestion from someone who still learning as well Start small. Slowly build upon it. Then slowly begin to add population, then add quests and such
