Don88
Good work man! I do think the landscape is a bit too perfect but it is easily remedied. Now i don't mean to put you down or discourage you in any way, and i know that its not finished, but im gona point some things out, not to embarress you or anything along the lines of that. but instead to help you improve this mod. I wont list them here, just in case you are offended. If you want me to, ill send via PM. ;) PS. for anyone reading this i didn't think that it was so bad that he would be ashamed or ne thing im just tryin to be helpful!! Its good!!!! Really.
Slaiv
Haupstadt? Isn't that German for Capitol?
vandorssen
Indeed, it is. Very astute, unless of course you are German, in which case, thank you very much for destroying the mystique. ;) If it worked how I wanted it to, this castle would have been the chief city (Capitol, if you will) of a new Empire. That is still even a very long ways off, as I am simply a novice (perhaps even a hack) when it comes to modding. Calling it Hauptstadt was supposed to be a personal tribute to my own German ancestry. :)
Slaiv
Gotcha. I'm 50% German, and I'm enrolled in a German class. So I can't speak it fluently, but I'm learning.
vandorssen
Another screen shot. Well actually 4 (made in to one).
vandorssen
Another little update: I finally have the music script working correctly. I have added some variation to the terrain (although I still am coming across little "pyramids" here and there). I have also added operating gates to the main and (new) sea side entrances, as well as a dock with a ship. A new area for servants and utilities (kitchen, laundry, etc.) has been added (the southwest wing (not seen in the screen shots, but it is there)), although it is yet incomplete. Because of the added music track, new textures and models, the size of the mod (in terms of HDD space) has increased 10 fold. Because of that, I will no longer be sending the mod via email for those who wish to test it for me. I will set up a server. Thanks again. ======================= Got the download system up and running (again). New address (no longer FTP):Hauptstadt download. Please try it out. edit: extra posts removed-Peregrine
strangeways
*settles down in the corner, eyeing the characters* I am the other creator :cough: of the game Vandorssen is turning to a Mod, and also have been suckered into some scripting for the project. Of course, since it is my game as well, I guess I should be doing something with it.... I think my aspect of this is making the NPCs interact with PCs. It should be interesting. *cues manical laughter*
TheUnforgiven
*points finger to sky* Every castle needs some sort of "bane" to it or something mystical about it.Yes..be it Gargoyles, Vampires, or something. *runs away* Anyways Yeah, those little pyrmids get annoying. Thats one reason I hate landscapping..
Ëlwe (Thingol)
Yeh piramids suck but easily to remove set the circle of effect to max (20-30 something like that) and use soften verticles and simply touch the button once everywhere, in this way the hills might look a bit more realistic and the pyramids will be gone.
wesaynothin
Nice looking, but If I may make a note. The trees seem to be growing in a straight line. Being those are evergreens, not fruit trees, the orchard effect does not seem very real. Maybe just move them around a little, and it would seem a bit more natural.
