LxOilxCan
I am on a laptop. And it does have switch able graphics, I currently have the Fallout4.exe, Fallout4Launcher.exe, and the CK exe all set to the high performance Nvidia graphics. As for ENBs etc I do not use any of those. I do have F4SE installed but that doesn’t use a modified .dll. And today I uninstalled my graphics drivers (as I had updated them and nothing changed) and reinstalled them to no avail. I’ve more or less exhausted everything google, myself, and the two of you could come up with. I think the last thing I could try is to to a complete reset of my system and hop for the best. LxOilxCan
So just an update to my situation. I fixed my problem; what it was apparently is that Fallout 4 and the CK did not like the current Nvidia Driver (399.24). I had to roll it back to 385.69. What caused the problem (and this is just me hypothesizing) is that when I decided to let the Nvidia GeForce Experience "Optimize" Fallout 4 it changed a setting that something didn't like which caused the game to not run in Windowed mode. I still have some problems (such as the Bethesda.net Launcher giving a blank screen, and the CK render window will only be responsive at certain sizes) but overall it works. I just wanted to thank all of you that helped me again. You were a big help and kept me from just saying f this. So thanks!
chucksteel
I’m on win 7 64 and I had the same problem with the Bethesda launcher. I (oddly enough) had to set it to run in windows Vista compatibility mode. Maybe that will help you too. Glad to hear you got things somewhat working. LxOilxCan
Believe me I tried that. I also tried every other compatibility mode under the sun and I didn't do it. But it works for now so I'm content.
