Heartcloud
Does anyone know what files control the sneak animations, like sneak walk/run, sneak attack, sneak roll, etc? I'm not sure why but all of a sudden all my sneak animations are messed up. Sneak forward now plays the sneak sideways animation, sneak backwards now plays the sneak forward animation, sneak attack simply has no animation and the game just freezes for a second. I didn't add any new mods, the only thing I did was replace a bow animation with this, but since that animation does not work, I reverted it back. Ever since adding the bow animation the sneak animations are messed up.Are these in the bsa? I didn't touch the bsa though...
Georgiegril
No, these are scripts. I don't much like bows, but I know there have been some problems associated with them. Did you remove the mod exactly according to the mod authors instructions? If that was the only change you have made, you might check the mod's discussion page to see if anyone else had a similar issue and how it was fixed. Also if it is common, the mod author might provide a fix in the readme. If none of that works, is there a pre-bow mod save you can try? that might work (or not). If you have any mods through steam workshop, those update automatically, which means there could be changes without you being aware of it. You might check those, as well. Heartcloud
No the bow animation mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16975) came with no scripts. Though the last mods I installed were:- Perk up: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9359- Perk points potion: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10836- Uncapper: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1175Perk points potion and uncapper both came with scripts, but I have removed all files associated with these three mods. There were no special instructions on removing them, simply deleting all the files is ok.All saves are affected now, they all have messed up sneak animations. However the older saves will at first have normal sneak animations, but the moment I enter a door with a loading screen the sneak will become messed up. =/This is ridiculously weird, no other animations are affected, only sneak ones, yet none of the mods I installed have anything to do with sneak. >_<I think something is causing the Skyrim - Animations.bsa package to be read wrong... Georgiegril
The script is what tells your character to use the sneak animation and under what conditions. You can try to uninstall your mods one at a time, then play to see if it is better. If you have a problem related to the incomplete removal of a mod, this may not work. You can try removing all of your mods exactly according to the authors instructions, then verify your game cache through steam, and if you are not having problems, add your mods back one at a time, running BOSS and playing a bit after each addition to make sure it is working. You can try a complete uninstall/reinstall of skyrim. That will work, but requires you to delete all of your save games and start over.
Heartcloud
Do you have an idea what scripts might interfere with the way the .bsa packages are read? I just de-activated every single mod and the problem is still there, did the verify cache thing, used BOSS (before de-activating mods), so it must be some files were damaged/deleted by one of those 4 mods.If I back up my save files they won't be lost right? Also if I just keep all the mod packages in skyrim/mods, then after I re-install Skyrim I just need to unpackage all of them again with NMM?
