sinnerman69
I never use the keyboard when playing PC games and have both the logitech and xbox controller for windows and always use them for gaming and was wondering if The Elder Scrolls V: skyrim works with the Xbox controller for Windows USB one? Owe which is ideal a disc copy or buy a steam copy? Edited June 9, 2012 by sinnerman69
62firelight
When you buy Skyrim in a disc copy, you're always going to need Steam to update to the latest version. Anyway, yes, a 360 controller (for Windows) will work with Skyrim. Just plug and play. However, if the controller is not working with the game (like if it doesn't respond to your buttons pushed on the controller) then you should pause, click on Options, then Gameplay and look for a 360 Controller tick. Usually this is enabled by default, so you don't need to worry about it.
tetradite
Yes, I have the USB controller for Windows and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Disc or Steam makes no difference, just which you prefer.
Stemin
Yeah, it works awesome. I was having trouble with mine and couldn't figure it out. Turns out my video card wasn't good enough. Swapped it out and everything's been great. Game plays awesome with the xbox pc controller.
