daisy8
Hi everyone Is there an easy way to hide doors from the local map ? I have a door in a hidden section of my Vault that I don't want the player to see until later in the quest, but it shows up on the local map whether the player has found it or not. The door is a load/teleport door. In the attachment you can see the door I mean. The player has not seen or found this door yet, but there it is. I have a work around using trigger boxes and disabling/enabling the door but it is buggy and stupid. In the door dialog I have selected that the door is hidden and that it is hidden from the local but it still shows up. Thanks guys ! daisy Edited September 8, 2018 by daisy8
montky
indeed,I hear you and know your frustrations with some door markers. GreekRage had one prerogative, the author of "AnyDoorToAnyWhere" had another.for still more there's stuff like Better Pipboy Menus (MCM and different decal-layers) so, you can overlay a different map,or toggle isOnMap from the CK for the door-refso, you might want to have a holographic door disguised marker not show upuntil after the "Event - Log On to Terminal Controlling Door" etc...that's one way you can do that. it's trickier to get your 'holo-disguised secret elevator' etc,to be non-pathable for NPCs until after an event via quest-alias-ref stuff.but, worth it if you want say,a Vault 666 "mobile moving vault on rails" / "vault in a sky-scraper" type scenario. daisy8
It is good fun. Not. The best way I have been able to make it work is by using disable trigger boxes to disable the door at quest stages, and then to use another box to enable it at the appropriate quest stage but it is messy. werr92
Use Black Plane to mask the area displayed on the local map. Disable the Plane later, as a quest/situation requires player to find this thing. In addition, if I recall it right, the's a box in Door Window which allows that particular object to be present or not on the local map. daisy8
Looks like a black plane masks everything, but a door. It still shows up. Even with the hide from local map box checked in the door dialog the door is still shown. Any other ideas ?
