Sebiale Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I'm curious, because I've been installing mods, and quite a few of them seem to be fighting over this, they keep wanting to overwrite it.Is it something that only a single mod can make use of, or it it just that all these mods have a config file for themselves but are running into the config file of other mods?
Sebiale Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Well the EVE_HGEC for example, can't install via NMM because there's already a data/config file (I'm going to try the BAIN version to see if that works), which was put there by one of the following:Alternative StartBomret Texture PackQarl's Texture PackLandscop LOD ReplacementLow Poly GrassRobert Male Body ReplacerUOPUODLCPUSIP Edited June 12, 2012 by Sebiale

Just don't even bother. 95% of all Oblivion Mods were created before NMM even existed, and are quite likely to have issues functioning properly with them. Just use BAIN for your installing, and stop trying to force NMM to work with things that have no idea what the heck it is.
Sebiale Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) But Download with Manager makes things so nice and simple, it's easier than manually downloading, even if you use OBMM . . . :S I've never really used BAIN extensively as a way to install mods, though it seems to have the widest range of files that it can install. Modding is not supposed to be simple.

Who says it can't?
Mahtawa Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Simple thing is just: Avoid NMM for games made before skyrim. It gives less grey hairs.Just paste mods into data folder and use obmm or wryebash to see what causes problems.
