Fallout 4 keeps crashing. I don't know what is the problem. Here is my load order:

You need to give us more information : what's your rig, what is running in PC background ( any anti-virus, etc ), what mod manager are you using, etc ? If you are using NMM, then I cannot help you even though I used it before.

 

If you downloaded all those mods without reading the entire mod description, posts and change logs, then that would be the first thing you should do anytime before downloading/installing a mod.

 

If you DID not install one by one and try them out before keeping it in your load order, then you are making a big mistake. The mods I have in my list are from well known modders, rated as the best ever, I have read all my mod descriptions, posts, logs and I have asked questions, I've also tried them out in my game several times, so my load order now is very stable because I keep playing with the same mods for a long time. New mods added to my load order are not just installed by ignoring what I said so they have been tested by me within my load order.

 

If you are using NMM, I would recommend to jump to Vortex. If so, I will be happy to tell you what to do. Again, I cannot guarantee that your load order will work as you expected it. You need to do your own homework, play with 5 mods and see if your game CTD. If not, install another 5 and try till you find which one is the cause. Keep in mind that mods share some times, the same records and that is problematic most of the time.

 

You have some mods that I have never used in my life so I do not know exactly what they do. By just looking at your list, I cannot define the type of game you wanted to play with those mods. There are only two things you can do in FO4 : combat and settlements or both. I do not see in your load order neither orientation so I do not know in what way you wanted to play your game with those mods.

 

I do recommend to you to define yourself in relation to what type of game you want to play and based on that, you will download/install the mods that match your play-style. Sometimes, in order to define yourself, you need to play the game from start to finish without any mod. I do not know if you already did that and if not, then I would recommend to play the game without any mod to find out about the game and then you will a better idea how would you like to play your next game with mods installed so you will know exactly what mods you will have in your load order.

Hi guys! Since i installed my new AMD Radeon R7 350 4G, the game crashes or just aborts itself if i want to start the game from the main menu. Nor saved games nor new game. It starts loading but then...

i have tried the tricks with the pref file in the documents, compatibility set to win 8

 

i have working drivers, i reinstalled the game like 2 times already..

 

Any ideas? Please help :D

.... beside what I already said in my previous post, it is very difficult for us to figure out what is happening with your game. It is very difficult for me even to deal with mine and I know exactly what I am running with my mods.

 

There are dozens of things that could be the cause of your CTD ... dozens, not just one mod. And even so, if it was a mod, please realize something about this game : it will CTD no matter what !!

 

Look down at my rig and tell me why I am getting ( for example ), 40 fps sometimes ? Look down again and tell me why I am also getting CTD's sometimes ?

 

The only explanation for my own game is WOTC ( War of the Commonwealth ) mod, which it is very heavy and it has been advised by the mod author that no matter what, we will get CTD sometimes.

 

Recently I had to tweak a lot of stuff in my Windows 10 and Nvidia Control Panel to get more fps and have a much better performance with my Fallout 4 game. Right now I am getting more fps than before and so far, so good.

 

In your case, you are playing with some mods that I've never used before so I cannot help you on those.

 

Just to give you an idea .. I went into Falon Department ( full of Super Mutants ) without any mod installed and the graphic / textures, look perfect. As soon as I installed mods, I went it again and when I try to get to the last corner, I am getting a horrible highlighted white undefined texture and graphics, like an empty white space ... I decided to disable some mods ( one by one ) and try to figure out exactly which one was causing that and so far I have not been able to figure out which one is the root of the problem.

 

That horrible thing is not present anywhere but only in this place, so I decided not to continue breaking my head about it and I continued playing my game. Probably is a freaking glitch that Bethesda have not fixed yet and probably never will. Probably is somethihg I need to fix via Xedit but I won't. As far as it does not happen outside and inside other places, I am ok with it.

 

The reason I am telling you this is because this game is not perfect, not even if we play it vanilla. So, in your case, I would restart fresh and install one by one and see what happen. Sometimes you have to do that my friend and this takes time. What I have done in the past is precisely that, start fresh with only the Unoffical Mod installed and go one by one, play, try, if it is working fine and add more or delete. When I have done that, I have used that game as a test, to find out which mods to keep and which one to delete. Once I found that which mods should I keep in my game, I restarted the game again from scratch and play it only with those mods. Believe me, it is time consuming and very annoying but at the same time, you will be rewarded with the most stable possible game and unfortunately, nobody can do that for you, so you have to do your homework.

 

Also, go into the net and type in your browser : things to do to make my windows 10 to run faster .... you will find a lot of information and do yourself a favor, apply them as much as you can and you will see an improvement in your system. The reason to do this is also to get rid of those applications that are probably running in the background of your computer that could be causing or adding stress to your game that you do not want.

 

In a few words, is not just about what mods, is also about your system and realize, you will never run this game out of CTD, never. It is a bad game engine, very delicate and when mods are added to the main program, anything can happen. So, treat it with cautious and you will get a more stable game once you do what I suggested.
