Minutemen Question

In my base at the 6 storey tower at Hangmans Alley I currently have 2 storeys empty and I thought a nice way to fill them would be to have a sort of Minutemen base with Preston Garvey and either one of the roving MM patrols based there or in some other way 5 MM based there on permanent duty. Is there any MM mod which will allow me to do this or any other way to do it ?

Fascinating prerogative (any screencap of your Hangman's Alley approach to share)

I built a "flying buttresses/boardwalk" 'cathedral-y" old school wooden-skyscraper style thing there too,

the Minutemen Outpost is atop that corrugated awning (which serves as their 'floor' for their office)

I digress;

there's a couple of mods which could approach that.

1 - Regulators of the Commonwealth - 6 x custom NPC companions (so, like FONV, a 'squad of former Minutemenfolk")

2 - PowerArmorAI,

3 - Hireable Mercs mod,

4 - Strumpets & Giggolos etc. <-- that lets you hire 5 or 6 folks who you can have issued with uniforms.

5 - Author of WHIRLIGIG also made a "Hank the Securitron" prototype IIRC,

which was a Minutemen "mobile tank".

But, for the more lore-friendly experience,

a fan/modder of SMB92's War of the Commonwealth also made a

"Send for Reinforcements!" flaregun too, which deploys the 'encounterable unit of Minutemen" instead of the flare-gun,

so, you can have 2-3 squads of Minutemen, 2 squads of BoS (with the power armor mod)

and a squad of 'auxiliaries".

you can additionally

use a kludge like "Dont Call Me Settler" etc,

and take a settler and assign their route to start from the office that way,

issuing them with minuteman attire and armament.

They're not 'true' minuteman-faction, but, it works relatively easily.

I've got several views of Hangmans Alley, this one is of the tower which I have rebuilt in situ, partly because like many of the vanilla buildings it didn't actually have any doors at ground level. It has a police station on the ground floor, second and third unused, 4th crafting, 5 and 6 my player home.

@Gadget'45

wow, that is a lot of progress you've made on your Hangman's Alley locale!

that looks awesome.

Thanks ! The All Settlements Extended mod I used changes the dynamics of the settlement in an interesting way because the settlers (who are all armed with Wattz laser rifles) tend to walk a fair way from the edge and I also have heavily armed Provisioners who come in through most parts of Boston. As a result I keep finding dead Raiders all over the place lol because as soon as they encounter one of my people they get killed ! There's a regular battle with the Super Mutants in the ruined building between Hangmans Alley and Diamond City and I usually just have to loot the corpses :laugh:

Dunno if this would be what you're after, but you could try spawning some of the checkpoint-type MM (i.e. they'd have the "no one's getting past me, ma'am/sir" "they'll have to pry this checkpoint from my cold, dead, hands" etc. dialogue) using "player.placeatme ac514".

Also not sure if they'd stick around and not wander off, but I think they would (?). I've used that command to populate some of the locations where temporary minutemen sometimes appear, i.e. the ruined building just N. of the Cambridge Red Rocket, the Church near Suffolk County Charter School, the warehouse up the road from Atom Cats Garage etc. and they stay put well enough.

They wouldn't be scripted to sleep or do anything else settler-like either, but just thought I'd mention it.

I found that the minutemen mod i already have allows you to spawn minutemen and i did but sadly she couldn't be assigned to anything and at the sane time settlement happiness decreased dramatically from 94% to 64%. She seems to have disappeared now. I think my best option may be to dress settlers in MM uniform and allocate them made up jobs in the MM control centre then beds in the barracks on the 3rd floor. The mod which lets you command MM units apparently causes CTDs so I cannot use it.
