CcaidenN
Let's say I have a heavy armor from one mod that I like, and a cloth hood from a second mod that I like. I want the hood to be the same color as the armor, so when worn together, they match. How would I go about doing this? I've been doing research for hours and am not making much progress in this. What program do I need? I think I need GIMP but I'm not sure. Any tips would be much appreciated.
nayakri
I think it's a matter of simple colour change (for example, in GIMP). I did that already and it works. Simply find your texture file (of the hood, of course), open it in GIMP (you might need dds expansion) and then do with it whatever you want. Then put it back in the right place in texture folder (remember to put it back with dds format). While saving it, check to generate maps (no idea what these are for, but I know it is obligatory or something). EDIT. If you want to use textures of the armour itself, you can also open it in the GIMP and copy the texture.
