jhdez Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Does anybody know how to prevent enemies from dropping their weapons upon dying. Its getting really annoying seeing weapons lying everywhere on the ground. These weapons don't clean up so I have to manually pick them up. Does this clutter affect file size? Any mods out there?
xlcr Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 @jhdez, hi, i've been using this mod successfully to modify the mess Skyrim makes with dropped/scattered enemy gear.Don't let the goofy mod name scare you lol, mod also attempts to fight various unfixed gamesave bloat issues.fyi, there are no reported issues yet with official patch v1.6.89.0, including redundant nirnroot lighting cleanup and possible animated corpse issues, the modder Amgepo is monitoring.Possessive Corpses no more lazy zombies and shy nirnroots by Amgepohttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4528fyi, i am still running patch v1.4.27 and have not allowed the v1.6 update yet so i cannot 100% confirm compatibility.
Perraine Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 You could also install the "Unofficial Skyrim Patch" this also forces any dropped weapons to actually be referenced to the corpses inventory, so even if they 'drop' them it will still clean up if you loot the corpse and/or when the body gets 'cleaned up' by the game after a reload or zoning (it also fixes a HUGE swag of other issues as well) ... AFAICT it works fine with the 1.6 update, though I haven't played more than about 6 hours with both running.
jhdez Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 Thx for replying, Ill give the possessive corpses mod a try though. I have the unofficial skyrim patch installed but it doesn't clean the gear for me.

It definitely does link the weapons to the body so when the body goes so does the weapon. It also comes in handy if you send an enemy flying off a cliff and he drops his weapon before he falls, can still loot the body without chasing it down.

I just checked the Unofficial Skyrim patch page and read of the load order. My load order had the patch in between of all my mods, just moved it up to the correct place. I guess I should get BOSS. Thx
Nexus28 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 i like that the weapons actually go flying on the ground, its realistic, i have never played a game with that realism.
