DVD doesn't work

Some time ago I bought the 5th anniversary edition from Oblivion.

The game and everything got succesfully installed and worked fine. Lately. When I put the DVD in the driver it says "Disc not found"

There's nothing wrong with my driver, I can put it other CDs or DVDs without any problem. On the Oblivion DVD are no scratches.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to how to solve this problem? I really want to play Oblivion, but now I can't.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert but i think if your disc isn't scratched it must be your dvd driver even if your other dvds are working. Have you tried to up-date it?

This happened to me once;

and as Daniel_shougun suggested, your disk may be scratched/damaged;

but in my case, my disk was actually cracked (a physical crack, not a hack).

I probably cracked it using the prongs in the case every time I swapped disks.

I bought a new Oblivion game because my disk damage was beyond remedy.

I no longer used the case prongs; instead, I gently slip my disk into a sleeve.

Check your disk for scratches/damage. Is it even registering in My Computer?

There are tutorials on repairing minor disk damage, tho I can't vouch for any...

Also, perhaps borrow a game disk from a friend and see if their disk works?

That way you might find out if you need to replace/repair your disk or not?

Best Wishes
