Spartan Mage
I have posted this topic somewhere else but this seems like a better place so sorry if that is against any rules. OK so no armor or weapon mods work for me if another character is wearing them they have a yellow diamond shaped see through thing around them and when i wear them my character becomes invisible on the inventory screen but its still the yellow weird thing around me;. can any1 suggest a solution, if nobody understands me I suppose i could do a video ( call me a noob but what is the best piece of software for recording you game play )
Zynoq
It sounds like your game dosen't find the mesh, have you extracted it in the right place?
bben46
The yellow blocks are probably the most common problem we see. They are caused when the game cannot find a mesh that was called for, probably from a mod. Most common - you did not specify 'Yes to all' when the installation asked you if you wanted to overwrite something during the mod install. Second most common, the meshes (and probably the textures and anything else ) are in a new folder with the name of the mod in the data folder. You need to move the texture folder from the new folder to the \data\textures folder. and any other folder inside the new folder as well to their proper folder. Third, the mesh you need is actually from another mod, look in the readme to see if some other mod is required for that one to work. Fraps is the preferred program used for taking screenshots in Oblivion. A full video is usually not required.

rickythecat
There's your problem! you should never rename the mesh/texture folders. Otherwise the programw on't be able to find them.
bben46
Ricky is right. do not rename them. The install procedure should give them the proper name.
