I loaded my armor mod today in CK, modified some minor thing on one of the armor pieces, saved the mod, went into the game to test the change and

ALL the armor parts are now invisible, contain 0 armor points and are just generally corrupt. :wallbash: Please...please tell me I do not have to go on a rampage and this is just a simple thing easy to fix...hehe...he..right?

I noticed it early today, as did a few others, we discussed more in my thread: Armour Missing

Ultimately it's a problem by Bethesda, we'll just have to wait for them to catch on and fix it.

Exactly the same thing happened with my custom armor, and accessories ( e.g. amulets, rings )! The only solution I could find was to load an "older" .esp file, and avoid using the CK for the interim. Edited by Lazarus187

WHAT!!!! ... Go back to the OLD ways of creating armor mods???? Like we used to ... erm ... a couple of months ago  ??? Ya got to be kidding! :psyduck: ...

Personally I never use the CK for armor mods, I just edit the meshes and texture paths manually and replace in game ones, I don't really think I need 1537 different armors in the game, 1 or 2 variations for each material type is enough for me ...

I read in another post that this has something to do with the CK not saving properly and that the saved mod is a "dud" of sorts with empty entries.

Please Steam and Bethesda, kindly fix this before Saturday - that's a mod release day.

In that case it can be fixed - extract the records from the esp and repair them manually.

Hopefully.

This happened to me as well, and this is how you fix it...

1. Open the esp in question and find the custom armor pieces that are showing up invisible and with 0 armor rating.

2. Double click or right click and edit one of them, you will notice beside the weight value the armor type has been deselected. Select one of the options Light, Heavy, None. You will also notice under the Biped Object Menu the equipped area has been deselected (should be highlighted blue). Select the appropriate slot and hit OK.

3. Repeat this process with all armor pieces not appearing in game.

4. Save.

5. Enable your mod and Reload Skyrim.

6. Enjoy.

The values show up in Creation Kit, just not ingame. It seems that the Creation Kit simply writes them away to the wrong strings or arrays. If you open the new .esp with say, TESVSnip, then those arrays or values are empty also. But they are visible in Creation Kit. So definitely a problem with saving. Edited by Saratje

Hmm that is odd, they didn't show up for me after reloading the corrupted esp with the creation kit. Maybe try rechecking those values anyway and resaving. Those values i listed are the ones that will make the armor invisible and with no armor rating.
