NeronBuringRome
Hi I have a problem with my FNV using many mods. I had some errors in FNVEdit but I used LOOT to sort mods and everything was ok for a while. Now when I run FNVEdit it shows strange errors: "Fatal: <Exception: "House of Horrors.esm" requires master "FalloutNV.esm" to be loaded before it.>" When I reinstall House of Horrors then another error shows: "Fatal: <Exception: "Speedy resources.esm" requires master "FalloutNV.esm" to be loaded before it.>" After reinstalling Speedy resources there is this first error again. Sometimes it's House of Horror, Speedy resources, but sometimes it other mods. But always it's FalloutNV.esm missing. Another problem is with one of the first quests Ghost Town Gunfight - Sunny hides in saloon, gangsters wont attack unless I attack them. If I kill all of them quest wont finish. So I didnt do this quest and went along with other stuff. Also had problems with some doors, I can't exit Ultra-Luxe. Clicking on door from inside gives me my weapons back but I'm still inside and doors will not work. I managed to overcome this problem with some console commands. Another problem is with Willow mod. When I reach Kyle and his friend they are frozen. Doesn't move, doesn't react, after killing him I cannot browse his inventory. Everything worked before, so it's no a matter of hardware or other software. My loot log in attachment. My load order from FMM main window: FalloutNV.esm DeadMoney.esm HonestHearts.esm OldWorldBlues.esm LonesomeRoad.esm GunRunnersArsenal.esm ClassicPack.esm MercenaryPack.esm TribalPack.esm CaravanPack.esm YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm NVEC Complete + NVCE.esm Tales of New Reno Redux.esm ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm Monster Wars.esm SomeguySeries.esm AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm Tales from the Burning Sands.esm enclavebunker.esm SaxxonsQuestPack.esm CoitoErgoSum.esm ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm Strangers Abroad.esm dangame.esm NewVegasRailroads.esm NVWillow.esp NevadaSkies.esm MikotoBeauty.esm RHKGilbertCompanion.esm VanessaFollowerNV.esm decwithreg.esm Cannabis.esm KhanInitiation.esp Lunette.esm Project Nevada - Core.esm Project Nevada - Equipment.esm Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp House of Horrors.esm NosCo Companion System.esm NCCS Nos' Premade Companions.esm SpeedyResources.esm YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp milkman.esp LaraCroftArmor.esp RockwellDescentMod.esp AFamilyRecipe.esp SlaveMarket.esp Wellcometohell.esp delilah.esp TfaT2.esp MikotoBeauty.esp NorthRoad.esp NewVegasUncut 123457 Merged.esp CCSP2_5d.esp CourierCacheWSE.esp TripToTheBank.esp WPR.esp NewVegasBounties.esp NewVegasBountiesII.esp ChristieOutfitsforT3.esp 1nivVSLArmors.esp sjs_bellydancedress.esp Dog_City3.esp 1nivCorgiWorld.esp LightSaber.esp C2O_GirlsTightTshirts.esp ImmersivePickupSoundsFNV.esp The Mod Configuration Menu.esp Zan_AutoPurge_SmartAgro_NV.esp CatalinAndreea.esp MojaveDelight.esp RHKGilbertCompanion-MojaveDelight.esp NaturalWaters.esp AL Black Corsetry and Blanc dress.esp FlobotRadio.esp Freedom Radio.esp _Fh hair test.esp jocutiepie.esp Radio Nuclear Winter Wonderland.esp Limitless Stats.esp VegasVariations.esp TheHandofTwo.esp Kozzz_SC(en).esp Area 51 - Project Roswell.esp NewVegasRailroads-PNPatch.esp RCP RenaElves.esp zzClothes.esp Tailor Maid - NV.esp josexysleepwear.esp Tailor Maid Black Retex - NV.esp R18PN Fiona Armor.esp ghostbodysuitcamo.esp BabyDoll.esp NWghostbodysuit.esp T3Belts_BootsNV.esp A Better Veronica.esp Cannabis AddOn - Screenshot Friendly Smokeables.esp ghosttowngunfight fix.esp Rin.esp NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp
gromulos
you're crashing because you are using too many mods with out a patch file follow my guide and let me know if you need more help :) https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2247404-fallout-new-vegas-beginners-guide-to-modding/ Do ALL of the steps 2&3 STEP by STEP, and Appendix 1 if needed

So I moved some of them up or down. But I found few mods which require different order of official DLCs. Like one mod requires Dead money to be loaded before Lonesome road, and other mod require Lonesome road to be loaded before Dead money :/ So I had to delete few mods. One thing about wrye I wasn't able to find was this bashed patch. Don't know where to find it. I know I shouldn't continiue previous game after deleting mods, but I did and still had problem with Willow's friends. Then I started new game with new character and still had this glitch with Ghost Town Fight quest. FNVEdit still shows me error, this time: "ProjectNevadaCore.esm require FalloutNV.esm". dubiousintent
Some mod authors create their mod with a minimal "load order" and don't always take the time to have the correct sequence for their masters. This can be corrected, as described in gromulos guide using FNVEdit/xEdit:Sort the master files for the orange mod in FNVEdit - see appendix 1Personally I would say that is the preferred solution instead of deleting plugins. Save removing plugins for those relatively few instances where you can't get the sequence of masters between plugins to match up (but I'm not arguing with gromulos or his guide). As for the FNVEdit error: You need to load all the "master" files required by a plugin when you try to edit one. In that specific instance (and with most plugins) you have to load the "FalloutNV.esm" file as well. That can fail to get loaded when the master required is required by still another master, but not the plugin you are editing (an "indirect master"). You might want to read the wiki article "Missing Masters" first. I would add one word of warning to gromulos' guide: Quote NOTE: Do not use xEdit with any "mod organizer" or other "plugin aware" tool open at the same time. While some might be compatible with sharing the plugin with xEdit, others grab the file with a "write lock" to prevent any other program from changing things. Play it safe and give xEdit exclusive access unless you are absolutely positive they are compatible. According to the TES5Edit Support Forum: "All plugins from the Data folder are sorted into 2 groups by extension (and extension only, ESM flag in plugin's header doesn't matter): *.ESM and *.ESP, then each group is sorted by plugin's file timestamp. Then xEdit loads all ESM, then all ESPs. The order of masters in plugins doesn't affect anything." This suggests that whenever possible, you should move any "false ESM flagged" ESP files to the bottom of the list of ESM files in your load order if you want xEdit to match your game "load order" when it loads or sorts a plugin's master files. Wrye Flash is compatible and doesn't have the "write lock" problem if you have the "lock times" setting disabled, but still it is a good habit to develop. The "false ESM flagged" file order issue remains however, especially with "Project Nevada" files. -Dubious-
NeronBuringRome
Thank you very much. I've read most of the manuals:) Yesterday I decided to reinstall whole game, coz there was few mods I deleted and it might have been a mess in mod files. So now I'm starting to install mods for an empty instalation. I managed to solve one problem with method described in 'appendix 1'. Worked fine. But next error I didn't know how to resolve. It was with Zion Trail mod, it was red in Wrye. In FNVEdit I checked only FalloutNV.ESM and Zion Trail. I get an error that Zion Trail is missing FalloutNV.esm. So left panel of FNVEdit is empty and I don't know what to do next. About deleting mods - if a mod doesn't overwrite any files is it safe to delete it? I might just give up on Zion trail because I dont like honest hearts too much.
gromulos
When you first run Xedit and the box pops up BEFORE clicking ok, right click the box and select "all" then let Xedit run as normal and see if you still get that error if you do still get that error, close Xedit then run Wrye and make sure the files are in the correct order for the load order, then try Xedit again Make note: you should NOT have anything else open related to modding when you run Xedit, it is not self aware like Wrye and NMM is What I man by self aware is you can have both Wrye and NMM open at the same time, and any changes made to one in the load order, the other program will recognize BUT these are the only 2 programs i know of that do this
NeronBuringRome
Well It might be diffrent problem. I did it with Zion Trail - I sorted masters in FNVEdit, but I think it didn't change anything. I found out that it was a matter of being last on the list. Now I got red flag in Wrye for last .esm and last .esp package. It doesn't matter which mod is last on list, it's always red. Running these mods in FNVEdit shows either error 'required FalloutNV.esm' or if it loads I click sort masters, close program and nothing changes, still red i Wrye. gromulos
anytime you have ANY file in Wrye that is red it is because of only two reasons 1) you're missing a needed master file for that listing2) you're missing a patch file for a dependent listing Have you tried verifying your files through steam, if Wrye is telling you that FNV.esm is missing then it may be corrupt BTW, if you cleaned FalloutNV.esm then THAT right there is your problem, just a FYI, you never clean, NEVER, the base ESM for any Bethesda game in the fallout or skyrim franchises ALSO: if you click the red file in WRYE, it should tell you on the right hand side exactly what file is missing if that's the case Edited September 28, 2018 by gromulos
NeronBuringRome
I didn't clean FalloutNV.esm, at least I think I didn't:) In Wrye if I select red mod on the right there is only FalloutNV.esm green. So there was no info in there :/ It was strange because every mod I put on bottom of the list was turning red, when moved up, it turned green again. But the one on the bottom was becoming red. Maybe I will just reinstall it again.
gromulos
you never answered my question, have you tried verifying through steam?
