Thanks. Oh, and what's the state of the civil war? Did the Imperials or the Stormcloaks win? or is it still raging on?

NAME: Rorik Wind-Bane

AGE: 58

GENDER: Male

RACE: Nord

ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good/neutral

CLASS: Guerrilla Fighter/ woodsman

DEITY: N/A recognizes the Nine and Daedra, doesn't serve any of them.

PERSONALITY: Rorik is quite a calm man given his past experiences, he does not loose his cool very often and is very rational. However, Rorik can also be somewhat rash when trying to accomplish his goal, particularly if someone he has strong emotions for is involved (either cares about a lot or despises) and as such his judgement can become clouded. He is extremely convicted and firm in his morals and beliefs but that by no means indicates that he always follows the law. He does what he feels is just whether it is illegal or not. Rorik prefers the wilderness to cities and crowds and as such seems distant from most people but he is not withdrawn, he merely lacks some conversation points that most people have since they visit cities and settlements more often than he.

WEAPONS: Two Skyforge Steel Swords, a hunting bow that he crafted with yew and an ebony core (comparable to elven in power/awesomeness), the voice

APPEARANCE: Rorik is quite dark skinned for a Nord on account of just how much time he spends in the sun. He has jet black hair that falls to his shoulders and a fairly short full beard. A jagged scar cuts over his right brow and down his cheek, two other, shorter scars are on either side of the larger one and a fourth cuts across his nose. On his left cheek he has a bright white tattoo of an arrow shape extending from a circle with a swirled tail (I'm trying to describe one of the warpaint tattoos in Skyrim, hopefully everyone gets which one). He is fairly tall, a little above average for a Nord at around six and a half feet tall. He is quite muscular but is a little leaner built than most Nords.

CLOTHING: Rorik wears slate-grey glass armor with very tarnished silver trim (similar to the Skyrim glass armor, but slate-grey and the silver edging is blackened in a lot of places) except for the helm. He has a thick, black wolf cloak to keep off the chill of the Skyrim winters and the snowy mountain blizzards. When he does wear a helm of some sort he dons the mask of the dragon priest Otar, which is very similar in color to his armor and he has replaced the cowl with wolf-hide making it similar to his cloak.

HISTORY/BACKGROUND: Rorik's mother became ill shortly after having him and she finally succumbed to her illness almost two years after he was born. Rorik's father had been an imperial legionnaire for a time and then became a humble farmer when Rorik's mother passed away. Rorik and his older sister helped their father tend the farm northeast of Helgen until his old age and war wounds began to get the better of them and they moved to Ivarstead when Rorik was 14. Not long after this the dragons began appearing. Rorik had hunted to help support the family for a few years by this point and sought out a challenge and thus he began hunting a dragon near Lake Geir. After months of tracking the beast Rorik finally faced the drake, a young dragon. After a fierce battle that lasted nearly a day, Rorik finally brought the beast down to the ground with a well placed arrow to a wing joint and then slew it. Afterwards Rorik was astonished and confused when he saw the dragon's corpse begin to melt away and he felt a great surge of power filling his veins. Rorik gathered all the valuables he could from the fallen beast and ran back to Ivarstead. He had heard the Grey Beards summon the Dovahkiin just the year before when he was 18 and wondered if he too was dragonborn.

Sorrow awaited Rorik when he returned home. His father had died a week before his return. They said that he died fearing that Rorik had been lost to him. Rorik wept for many days and grieved. His sister, Elsa, could not run the farm or make a living in Ivarstead so she moved to Windhelm after she and Rorik sold their humble cottage and buried their father. After this terrible tragedy and saying goodbye to Elsa, Rorik took once more to the woods. He came across a great set of clawed tracks and ruts in the ground. He knew instantly that a dragon had been there and he set out after it, determined to either realize his destiny or die, forgetting all of the sorrow of the past few months. Rorik found the dragon's roost and discovered it was far larger than the one he had slain before and appeared much older with tattered wings and a few missing scales. The dragon spotted him and loosed a jet of flame before taking to the skies and circling him.

Rorik dove behind rocks and evaded the blows of the dragon while filling it with arrows. But he had been tiring and the dragon showed no signs of slowing down. Suddenly Rorik had been caught in the open with nothing to duck behind as the dragon landed and brought back it's great head and began hissing. Rorik's mind had suddenly been filled with words at that moment: "Fo-Krah-Diin!!!" He had bellowed in a strange voice that was his own at its deepest and a strange guttural, reptilian roar at the same time, and an icy wind tore from his opened mouth and met a blazing inferno from the dragon. Rorik had had no idea how he had done it but it dawned on him that he was in fact dragonborn as well. Rorik had been filled with another boost of adrenaline at his realization and the battle began anew. The struggle continued to rage for many hours when suddenly the old dragon slowed immensely and began wheezing as it circled and gnashed at Rorik. Its age had gotten the better of it. Rorik finally brought the dragon down and it began speaking to him as he neared it. He hesitated as he readied his sword and then stopped and listened to the great beast. Finally it asked him to end its life with glory and take its knowledge. Thus Rorik slew his second dragon. Yet this time was different. He gained a great wealth of knowledge and could feel a strange warmth in his heart and heard a soft voice in the back of his mind as the ancient creature's soul took up residence with his own.Rorik used his powers to do battle with many other dragons, though he rarely slayed them, preferring instead to converse and debate and learn from them.

Rorik joined the Stormcloak army early on. Rorik never saw eye to eye with Ulfric in regards to the war. Rorik always felt that the Jarl needed to look after his own city more than he did and that he lacked the strategic mind of the Imperial generals. Rorik also felt that tearing Skyrim from the Empire should have waited longer but he still felt that it must be done and he would take it a little sooner than he liked over never having it. Rorik was an excellent stealth-warrior, ambushing Imperial scouts and messengers were his favorite assignments and he often brought back prisoners for interrogation. Rorik proved so useful that he Galmar Ston-fist granted him his own retinue of hand-picked men to perform daring missions with. Together the group conquered several forts and infiltrated Solitude to open the gates and clear the way for the rest of the Stormcloak army during the siege. During the battle of Fort Greymoor Rorik had used his Thu'um to call down a thunderstorm on the Imperials and gained his title "Wind-Bane."

Rorik is also a member of the Companions, though he does not like to talk about his time with them very much. He now resides on the Throat of the world, near High Hrothgar.

This whole character is based on the assumption that this takes place after the events of Skryim. I tried to find a date somewhere but I either missed it or there isn't one. Let me know if I need to change anything or the date is pre-civil war (in which case I'll drop out)

If Rorik forced open Solitude's gates, that means the Stormcloaks won the civil war, then?
