billyro
Exacly what billyro saidadd ragdollsno robot movespeople actually talkbatter detailect. There would have to be a really talented modder to be able to implement rag doll physics in an older game such as Morrowind, but OpenMW which jim_uk pointed out is utilising newer engines which could make it possible. Maybe. The voiced dialogue would be too hard to undertake, in my opinion. There is so much more dialogue in Morrowind than Oblivion and Skyrim combined. (Well, words, anyway) Detail is easy, and you can already download mods to make the game look really pretty. Morrowind Overhaul 2.0 by Kingpix (I think) has made a great overhaul of the graphics and sounds. Animations would be fairly easy to remake since the standard of animations is going way up, modders shouldn't be hard pressed to accomplish this now. RazaCovek
I wonder if Speech Synthesizers could add voices to the player/npcs?
Skrofler
No. Absolutely not. If I wanted to play a dumbed down, casual version of Morrowind, I'd play Morroblivion, or Skyrim.I think the post was intended as a suggestion for upgraded graphics, not dumbed down revisits. Post intention, yes, but what do you think would actually be the result if Bethesda made a remake? I'm just as pessimistic as Billyro about that.I'd suggest taking a look at Tamriel Rebuilt and MSGO if you want to freshen it up quite a bit. Mafearaak
I don't mean add a mod i mean bethseda itself should remake this game into a better version MORROWIND FOREVER
LegoManIAm94
So your saying they should remake Morrowind with a new engine like the Skyrim engine or edit the Morrowind Engine and models so it is like Skyrim gameplay. Either way it would be nice but I like each game engine since they each have a feel to them. Using the same on for all three or so I would not really like. But thats just me. macole
Asking Bethesda to re-make Morrowind with a new engine like Skyrim scares me. Aren't you afraid you'll get a Morrowind with no attributes, no birthsigns, no spears, only two weapons 1-handed and 2-handed, single piece suites of armor, no underwater fighting and on and on and on. Plus everytime I think of re-making games such as Morrowind, I get this big sick feeling deep down inside. What becomes of all mods that I've come to consider essential pieces to the game. I'm not talking about visual enhancing mods but rather character developement mods, custom race mods, new quests, new lands, interesting companions, houses, unique weapons and armors? I suppose I can re-create my own race and weapon mods but what of the others, are they lost forever? My game is modded to tell my story, it has become the real life lore of TES. My personal story, my lore would be wiped clean and for what? Would I be able to get it back,I don't know? Now, if someone would consider upgrading Daggerfall to a Morrowind MSGO standard, I'm all over it!
Mafearaak
1. Dont make it exactly like skyrim keep all of the weapons.2. the atributes they can keep if they want i guess3. keep the no level system plan fot loot and npcs4. YOU CAN STILL PLAY THE ORIGINAL 2003 GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Edit5. All i want is to upgrade the GRAPHICS not necisarily the game engine6. The atrubutes like luck, willpower ect are not my favorite part of the game but now that i think about it bethseda sould keep them for old times sake7. possibley add dual weild and on command blocking8. mabe add perks to the game9. Upgrade arena, daggerfell as well10. people can upgrade thier mods to the new version if they want and if they dont and you dont want to move on refer to #411. bethseda could add several thing to the game t make it more interesting such as random encounters, crimes comited in a haalu area you will not get arrested in a redorean area, kill moves, better guards, not everyone nows very thing.12. improve combat engine so that it is better but not exacly like skyrims14. Fast travel should not be alowed15. possibly improve starting jump and run walk speed ar not depending as to how much Bestheda wants to change the game16.Bestheda could (if in thier power) make a menu rigt before you go in that determins how much of the game is alltered other than the graphic such as hard core old fashioned fan to change the entire system Edited July 27, 2012 by Mafearaak
chocklymon
While it would be nice if Bethesda re-did their old games with new graphics, and I would love it if it did happen. I doubt it would ever happen:One, Bethesda Game Studios is owned by a company that exists to make money. Most people wouldn't want to pay the full game price for a re-make of a game, and those that would pay for it (like me) probably wouldn't generate enough revenue to cover the costs of developer time and distribution. Two, it would delay the release of their next game; they only have so many developers with so much time. So, if you take developers away, it will slow their other projects.Three, the developers would probably rather spend their time working on a new game, than revisiting an old one. Oh well, modders are as good as those developers.
