Yes crimson blood and deadly dragons are running ;) Was thinking maybe disable lanterns at bridges etc. Game ran fine before I installed a couple of extra light mods that showed up on the nexus, my fault for going crazy for every mod that makes hot file :)

Actually the mods you listed are related to the CTDs I use to have. Quick Start was one of my causes for ctd because it edits Helgen scripts, which I said in my first post will lead to ctds later on in your game. With this mod removed you should be able to start a new game safely otherwise attach the last few lines here like you did before.

I feel your pain, I'm gonna do that too, this just isn't working.

@cptcairney You can try to uninstall Deadly Dragons and Lanterns of Skyrim then but they are both compatible with each other anyway, however there seems to be some sort of bug with those blood mods running + Deadly Dragons that I experienced yesterday out of the entire 200+ hour accumilative playthroughs I've been using both mods, which led me to CTDs.

@Crouse The critter spawn thing seems to be related to 83WillowsBugs101, there's a fatal bug in that mod where if the bug is hit and killed in midair it will instantly CTD the game.

Although I was back up and playing again, lately after I add a new mod and then go back to the last saved game, the game freezes at the loading screen of the save. I get the usual help information on a lore item, and the rolling steam from the bottom up, but that's it, I don't get into the game. If I go to the Windows Task Manager, it shows me that Skyrim is unresponsive.

 

However, I do seem to be able to get back into the game by loading an earlier save and then fast traveling to the location where the last save was made. I've taken to making two saves, a quick save just before I'm ready to leave the game and then a fast travel somewhere else and a full save there, which is the one I can't seem to load.

 

I'm pretty sure it's not hardware or driver related; I have two monitors and keep a widget showing my cpu usage and temperature on the non-game monitor. I also have Asus's system monitor that I can choose to display cpu frequency (Intel Turbo step is on). Both of those monitors show normal action of the computer, with no overloading of the processors (Core i7 2600k) and low temperatures (Corsair liquid cooling)

 

I'm fighting a clean save using the previously posted procedures, or a wipe and start over, but I guess I'm going to have to consider that given the degradation of the game as I proceed with this character and followers (UFO.)

Hey Yafi, Thanks for the response.

 

I don't have the willows mod, so I went through and tried a few things. I've narrowed it down to Monster Wars mod, I initially thought it might be this but the author says there should be no compatibility issues if there aren't any with MoMod, this clearly wasn't the case. I'm going to debug and see if there's anything I can do to get it working. There's nothing more aggravating than CTD.

 

Woops I do have the 83Willows mod. When I searched for it I got a different result. Going to test Monster Wars without 83Willows - JEnASSA. see if I CTD.

This seems to be the root of the problem for me, if anyone knows what this is or why it's happening, I would appreciate any insight or help. I know it's a little long, sorry, not sure how to do the spoiler thing.

The last line is the last thing in my Papyrus log. Usually it is followed by a complete freeze needing the task manager to shut down Skyrim, though interestingly this time it was a CTD, which is very rare for me, my main problem is the freeze.

I'm having strange problem. Game CTDs around Riften (not particular place, just when walking/riding into it or using carriage). It's BIG area, as it crashes far north of the city (at crossing of roads where west=whiterun,south=riften,north=windgelm. It's the very east crossing of the map).

 

I tried few things including uninstalling several potential problem makers, such as CLARALUX and other big mods, reseting INI, checking my files via steam, running without SKSE, running in offline mode.

Then I tried with old save game of another character, and everything was OK, so I realized it is save-game corruption.

 

Given that I loaded older save game of my current character and was able to get to Riften (used carriage for speed). Happy that I fixed issue I decided to stick with this save game, entered Riften, sold some items. But then I walked out and problem is back - game crashes in around 2 seconds after standing outside the gate (not even moving) but the area loads.

Even more strange - there is no LOG files, even though they are enabled in .ini

 

It looks like game is corrupting any new save games near this area

Anything about that?

I left the city via south gate, then whent north around the city walls.

Game crashed, but there is log this time:
