I had a feeling it could be something to do with some old weapons I used earlier in a mod, although that mod had never been deactivated either. And I tried Update my Statue, although not without any luck (from the mod description, you need to be at the statue itself in order to use it, and I can't really enter the city, so.. figures). But, thanks anyways. yes.. that is if you don't cheat and copy the command (that is inside the script) that updates the statue into a custom spell or to another item.. ^^ if you play with the construction set.. and if I remember well that mod has to be one of the latest mods to be loaded. I tried using that method to remotely update the statue, although that never really worked. This will not likely provide assistance to the original author, but I was having this problem, and this topic comes up number 1 in google if you search bruma statue crash lol... so I think I will be helpful and share the fix which I just tested. It works 100% and is easily installed and removed. If this was in this topic originally or a link to information regarding the issue it would have saved me hours of wasted time. I used that, then the updated version of "Update My Statue" which had been edited to work with the "Kill My Statue" mod and it fixed my problem. Ok here is my suggestion, make a quick throw away mod that adds a door to appear directly in front of the oblivion gate on the INSIDE of bruma. Look at the script on the outside of the great gate, if its On Activate or something like that, take the script that advances your quest stage, make it Begin OnLoad and put it on some stupid activator thats not being used. Once the quest stage has advanced, go to the sigil stone and take it and all that. Once thats done and your saved and everything, just disable and delete this throw away mod. I sometimes have problems that do something like this, all i do is open the CS and make some crummy mod that goes AROUND the problem, and once im done with its use, i delete the mod. EDIT: Oh crud, AWESOME! this is post number 555 for me, just realized after posting and looking at my name. I love that lol. I cant wait until 111 posts from now.. i will make sure its a very evil post.. very dispicable... EDIT2: But of course still within rules! I dont want to give the image that i am intending to break rules. NEVER will i do that so long as i can help it. Sorry, i dont want any confusion.
