croc123 Posted June 17, 2012 Share Posted June 17, 2012 Mjoll's greatest flaw isn't that she talks too much, but that she has no situational awareness. For instance, when dungeon delving she never lets her leader know to expect trouble. And she's more likely than not to suddenly start cracking on right when you are trying to listen to something important - like what Ulfric wants in exchange for a truce. Played the whole main quest line without knowing that I'd given away Markarth. Personally, I think that she's got ADHD, or Alzheimer's or something. Maybe even a bad case of poorly written AI scripting. Eola now... She's right in there. Maybe even better than Lydia. If I could only change out Eola's throat clearing sound with Lydia's. (If someone would send me a brief tutorial on miscellaneous follower dialogue, and also how to de-compress scripts, I'd be appreciative.) Just a few thoughts while I wait for the 1.6.9x patch... She used to be one of, if not the, fave companions of mine but eventually she just started driving me crazy. There's a mod on here somewhere that drastically reduces the time between her comments, but I wasn't sure I wanted an abundance of silence either. I haven't tried Eola yet but I think you have to sacrifice the priest during that cannibal quest to get her as a follower. I've been putting off that quest 'cuz so far, but I don't think I can bring myself to do that. My current favourite companion (and spouse) is Jordis the Sword Maiden. I don't read a lot of stuff about her on these threads, but she's really pretty awesome. Her spousal dialogue is pretty good (at least compared to Aela, the only other follower I've tried as a spouse) and you get a lot of the "ooo look a cave... " and "wow, that's impressive" at the appropriate times. And her tone of voice for "I'm sworn to carry to carry your burdens" when trading isn't even annoying. StayFrosty05 Posted June 17, 2012 Share Posted June 17, 2012 (edited) Mjoll's rabbiting on drives me insane.... :wallbash: ....my Dovahkin is a stealthy Archer, he and Mjoll are not a good mix... :turned: ....her incessant white noise coupled with barging past him and charging out in front with axe swinging often ended badly with a mis-fired arrow in her *ss.... :( .... :happy: My personal favorite follower is Kharjo, I like his comments and tends to follow my Dovahkins lead rather well.
