AugustaCalidia
Where do I go to obtain a stable Vortex 0.16.8? Today I opened Vortex 0.16.5 to test some Fallout 3 mods. I received a notice that a new update version 0.16.8 was available. Since my settings choice is for stable updates only, I went to the Vortex page in Nexusmods to obtain this new stable version. However, the most recent stable version shown there is 0.16.5. Vortex 0.16.8 is available on GitHub, but Tannin has said that GitHub is for testing versions. Am I mistaken about that? Or is the notice I received erroneous? Or what? I'm confused. I know that I could just let the automatic download and installation take place and that I would then have v. 0.16.8 installed. However, I'm uncomfortable with that process, because I want additional confirmation that the update in question is indeed the latest stable version. (How do you spell "paranoia?") So I select "no" to the UAC prompt to install the Vortex update. I then come to this Vortex forum and to Nexusmods to obtain further information about the update and its stability. I then download the new version to a special download folder and install it from there at a time of my own choosing. However, when I followed this procedure today, I could not find a version 0.16.8 that was labelled "stable."
rmm200
Irrespective of what Vortex tells me, I go by Tannin's post right above this.It says 16.8 is Testing, and 16.5 is Stable. It will stay that way until Tannin changes it.

AugustaCalidia
Today Vortex 0.16.8 was deemed stable, and so I installed it. (I selected the "repair" button.) Everything is up and running as it should. Thank you Tannin and team for this wonderful mod manager.
