:psyduck: I have over 1200 saves. Are you playing on a PC? If so you should have nearly unlimited saves - if you have the disk space for them. If not, well, that's the problem.

Save games are files.

Files take up space on your hard drive.

There is finite space on a hard drive

If the size of all of your save games added together exceeds the space on that drive it will probably not allow any more saves. And will probably crash your computer and not just the game.

So what do you mean your ol save games were gone? Not showing on skyrim? Not in the folder?

Steam and/or Skyrim will not automatically delete games. Are you saving over games? What exactly do you do to save a game? (Autosave, F5 quick save, open menu and click the save button....)

Your computer would not automatically delete files unless you have it set up to do that...are you using any programs that "clean" your computer or manage your files? Check their settings.

Look in your recycle bin to see if there are files in there.

I don't save over my saves, well yhea if im playing on save "kitten" then when i have played for a while i will save it on save "kitten" but i dont save over my other saves.

most of the times i click esc and just save like that.

and i don't think i have an program that removes them... and they are not in the recycle bin.
