New Vegas Geck worldspace has far too many terrain chunks

In the world LOD window, a custom worldspace I created contains a staggering 455304 terrain chunks , Something just tells me this isn't normal judging by the amount of chunks in "WastelandNV" (1360). Despite my map only being the size of only a fraction of the base game wasteland. I have searched everywhere for an answer but I cant find a way to fix the issue.

I understand this is a late reply, although I need more details on what I should, I am not a regular forum member and I am seeking help that I can find answers no where else. My efforts to "contact a moderator" only left me to a blank page when checking the list of the said moderators, I am unsure if this is a problem on the staff's end or mine but I need more specifics.

On the main "New Vegas" forum page, at the bottom is a list of "users on line in the last 15 minutes". Those in "green" font are moderators; "red" are "Staff". ("Staff" are extremely busy and apparently tend to only address issues related to the site as a whole.) However, "moderators" are volunteers and do not each cover all forums nor keep strict hours. As I am writing this none are listed as present online. (I've also never seen the "Moderator Team" page contain anything other than the basic page template. It's been too low a priority compared to other site needs. I have used the "contact us" button on the bottom of each page for site related issues and gotten quick responses.)

You will probably have a quicker response by just re-posting in the "GECK and Modders" sub-forum. Sorry I can't help with anything more precise, but I'm not really a GECK user except when forced to for troubleshooting, except I do pick up some things when researching problems. "World building" is outside of my experience. However, have you looked into "Static Collections"?

I appreciate your efforts to inform me, the GECK is a very tedious program to work with and my frustration has left me at a dead end in my mod that I had to do a clean restart on once already, furthermore your static collection statement could be the answer to my issue.

I will revise this post in the category you have suggested, thank you and I apologize if I came off as rude earlier.

No worries. You weren't rude (not even close), and I understand and deal with frustrated users here all the time. (It's pretty much the normal state of mind.) Best of luck getting a solution.

And I would be interested to hear about your eventual solution. It's the sort of tidbit I collect and publish in the Wiki.
