Incurable poison status

Ferrandur

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody, hope is alright post in this part of the forum, well the problem is this...

At some point in game, my character got poison, to be honest I didn't notice where exactly, but it was probably up north doing the quest story on the college of magic. I tried potions and midas magic, but it does nothing, and is really annoying because i can't quick travel or talk to a lot of npc, because apparently they think we are in battle due to my character being taking damage all the time. Well that's the thing, hope someone can help me out because i can't really play like this. Cheers.

@Ferrandur, did you specifically use a 'Cure Poison' potion?

Since you're stuck, you can get a few using console command: player.additem 00065a64 2

If you can't use console commands, search the net for who/where to get a cure poison potion.

I don't think a 'cure poison' spell exists in the vanilla Skyrim game or Midas Magic mod.

Being poisoned is only supposed to be a duration effect, did you set your timescale to 0?

(game default is 20, use console command help timescale to query, reset timescale using: set timescale to 20)

Are you sure you're not infected with vampirism?

Check for 'active effects' in the magic menu.

Have you tried putting your character to sleep for 8 hours?

There is a Cure Poison potion in the game. I've found a grand total of two. I haven't seen any for sale though in my travels not that I've been looking for them mind you.

@Rabbit 51, fyi, i suspect Ferrandur is in reality not dealing with a simple poisoning issue

and will unfortunately discover his true condition soon enough..

"..they think we are in battle due to my character being taking damage all the time.."

actually sounds more like stage 3-4 Sanguinare Vampiris infection to me lol.

@Ferrandur: Potions, Other Leveled Potions, Cure Poison, Notes:

Cannot normally be traded with apothecary merchants.

95% chance of 1-11 bottles being sold by apothecary merchants, but only if you have unlocked the Merchant perk.

25% chance of being carried by Elgrim, Nura Snow-Shod and Mjoll the Lioness.

3% chance of being carried by Silver Hand members.

Guys, thanks for the help. I'm gonna see now if any of those options fix my problem. In the active magic buff sections, it's says poison damage and 4 hours aprox until it goes. I'll let you guys now if i get it fix with your options, again thanks.

It will be a bit dangerous but this commands will disable all active temporary spell/magic effects including buffs/debuffs.It will not remove your permanent effects such as the ones came from race.

player.dispelallspells

P.S:Don't forget to unequip your enchanted items if you have.If you don't unequip them it can cause a glitch.

@Ferrandur, hi, well i'm glad its just poisoning and not vampirism lol.

if you're not willing to track down and uninstall/update whichever mod seems to be messing up effects like poisoning.

i guess you can try to obtain/equip these items; or, unenchant them and enchant your own gear:

Necklace of Poison Immunity (ID: 00100e5f) - Increases Poison Resistance by 100% (bugged, not 100%)*.

Necklace of Poison Resistance (ID: 000fc03d) - Increases Poison Resistance by 50%.

there are also these unique items in the game; but, i don't think these can be unenchanted:

Ancient Shrouded Armor (000e1f15) - Increases Poison Resistance by 100% (bugged, not 100%)*.

Hevnoraak Dragon Priest Mask (00061cc1) - Resist Poison, 100 pts (bugged, not 100%)*.

Savior's Hide (0002ac61) - Resist Poison, 50 pts.

Shrouded Armor (000d2844) - Resist Poison, 50 pts.

* - there seems to be a 'poisons' bug in the game, poisoning from falmer or chaurus might actually be

mis-catagorized as generic special 'spells' not poison; so, immunity/resist effects might not work.

also, the items claiming a 100% value are probably actually capped at 85%.

if you're willing, post the contents of your DLCList.txt here (search for this in your systemdrive) and someone might be able to

pick out which of your mods is buggy or might not be peacefully co-existing with other mods.
