Kulharin
Last time Skyrim auto updated, it broke SKSE and every mod using SKSE... I am still using a previous version because some mods still hadn't been updated... and now I see it wants to install yet another update. Is this going to again break SKSE and require all the mods get updated? I am so sick of this pointless updates that cause nothing but a head ache for the mod users and mod makers. And steam will not let you disable the auto-update feature... is there a work around .EXE and instructions for this?
Algabar
Don't know if there's another update right now... Basically, every update of the Creation Club ads err... the game requires an updated version of SKSE. So, yes, any game update will break SKSE and possibly mods depending on it. Avoiding updates is in fact easy:In your Steam library, set Skyrim SE to "update only when the game is started" or something like that (don't know the exact phrase). Then start Skyrim SE ONLY through the SKSE loader. This way, as far as STeam is concerned, the game is never launched - so no updates for you. If you want to be absolutely safe, you can also set Steam to "offline" mode (the option is in the "community" tab. That's what I did. I already succesfully skipped a couple of updates this way... FetGlebAlden
I found this very helpful: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19658 This mod goes into specific detail of how to fix the issue.
