I like how elven and glass look.Ebony armor is also cool(the helmet is a little out of place tho). But the ebony weapons are awful.Especially the sword and the greatsword.Morrowind ebony weapons were so much cooler...

sorry the title cut off it was supposed to say

DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK EBONY, GLASS AND ELVEN ARMORS LOOK LIKE SPACE SUITS

LOL. That'll teach you...

A title should be a short description of what the body text is all about, not to put your whole post in. :whistling:

When I read the title, I thought "what the *bleep* does "spac" mean?"

Anyway, I think some of the armor looks a little goofy, but since I play almost exclusively in first-person mode, it doesn't really bother me. And what the enemy is wearing is of little interest to me when I'm kicking their asses.

I do agree that some weapons are horrible-looking. And that bothers me a little, since you always see the weapons when you use them.

I think that glass armor looks more like a "futuristic NFL uniform" than a space suit. My take is that if the unnecessary "fins" on the legs, arms, and helmet were taken off, then it would actually look really cool. Right now it just looks mad bulky like a heavy armor. And those pauldrons... ew.

Ebony armor looks aight save for the fugly helmet. The pauldrons are a bit long for my liking, but they at least look at home on a heavy armor. The only thing that I think looks wack is when a hefty dude is wearing ebony (or glass) armor and they balloon out to fit his dimensions, kind of like a sausage about to burst its casing. Definitely not a flattering look. Huge chars should stick with Daedric, Orcish, and below.

I think the biggest WTF about some of the Skyrim armors is, as had been said, that they look cartoonish or out of place given the setting. The armors in Oblivion all looked plausible given the game's setting.

Generally speaking, I think that the simpler armors (Hide, Fur, Iron, Steel, Plate, etc.) look the best, both in terms of artistry (or fashion sense for the character) as well as believability given the setting.

I thought spac was some new slang the kids use nowadays. Like "that hair is so spac, man..."

This.

Oh and you guys really don't like the ebony armor and weapons?? The ebony two-handed sword is my favorite.

But then again maybie I'm spac.

YEAH! Finally some other players that don't like ebony weapons:-) The ebony swords are bugged for weapon plaques and they cause other weapons to bug out once you place them on a plaque even once. Elven armor I don't use it because I enjoy running my sword through it so often I don't want to get my follower mixed up with one of them elves in a fight. Glass looks ugly for women specifically that part on the front that covers up their junk it looks like the teeth of some sea monster which makes me think bad thoughts about the long term consequences of a relationship lol. Also they look like something that is supposed to be attached to Dr. Zoidberg from futurama which affects my first thoughts of them in even worse ways:-(

Been looking for mods of glass armor that remake the meshes so it looks better and change the textures from gold and green to black and green or silver and green or tone the gold and green down a bit and make the glass more transparent and less gaudy and tacky.

The ebony swords would look better if they had a shiny but somewhat dark edge so they don't stray too far from ebony description but at the same time don't keep the look of practice wooden sword so much.

I don't mind the weapons - at least the single-handed sword and bow. But the armor, especially the helmet, always reminds me of an 80s anime:
