how can i know correct mod load order?

seems one of my mod causes bugs and crashes in my game. could it be because incorrect load order or mod incompatibility? how can I know right one? please, I need help.

To check for conflicts you can boot up in TES5edit and scan the mods for conflicts. It should show any mods that write over a particular quest/object/npc/location/etc. Any conflicts should be pretty obvious. (Though in my experience not all conflicts are necessarily bad. Plenty of things are reported as conflicts but aren't really). But for the most part I try to minimize mods conflicting with each other regardless. Anyway, TES5edit should help with conflicts.

 

Now if you use LOOT or another load order sorting program, that should help mostly with load order but they aren't perfect. Sometimes you may need to manually sort a mod or two for best results (and change the metadata of the mod sorter so it knows to automatically sort that mod your way from then on). A bit of trial and error. Or you can post your LOAD order and let an expert look at it. I was however, given some very good general load order advice which I will supply below. If a particular mod needs a particular load order it will generally say so either on the mod page or in a read me that comes with the file.

 

 

General Load Order as recommended to me:

You want to install the basic tools first (fnis, skse, TES5edit and so forth)

The game

The DLCs

Large mods here (any sort of overhaul or mod that adds a ton of scripts and other things such as the Unofficial Patch) note: install them as instructed including the required mods.

Body and pose type mods should be next

Texture mods next

Armor and weapons and any other remaining mods go here.

 

Following that general pattern has given me a great deal of stability. That said, some mods such as Sacrosanct have, at least for me, required a bit of special attention due to other mods I use.

 

 

In addition, if you aren't using ENB it might be worth looking into. The newer ENBs come with something called ENBoost which helps fix certain memory leaks. In vanilla game play these memory leaks are harmless but once you start modding they can cause frequent CTD and infinite load crashes. The problem tends to worsen as you install more mods. (I'm no expert so that's about as good as my explanation on that can get). In short ENB can greatly reduce crashes even if you don't make use of its graphical features. Just remember to limit your frame rate (likely below 60 fps) when you install it. Skyrim's physics are tied to the fps so if the fps is high things randomly fly around. It's weird.

 

Finally, most people tend to recommend a 255 mod limit. Too many mods can make a game really unstable. I'm told some mods can be merged allowing you to keep them while lowering that number (Like combining all weapon and armor mods into a single mod where applicable). I've never had to do that though as I keep in the 70-100 range so I can't tell you how to know which mods you can and cannot merge (nor how to do it) but there are plenty of tutorials and tools available through this website. Some nice video tutorials on youtube if you need the step by step.

 

In short, sticking to the general load order, TES5edit, and ENB can greatly reduce crashes. I think there will always be some, but for me it has become the rarity not the norm. No worse off than than the vanilla game for me now (which also crashed so...) Hope this helps. And if anyone thinks I'm wrong about something, please correct me. I'm still learning this stuff a bit too.

Can you specify which "certain acts" cause your crashes? Might help to narrow things down.

 

You also have several of what is essentially the same mod installed. "Shlongs of skyrim SE light" and "shlongs of skyrim light". I don't play SE, but I would delete which ever one you don't use. You also have a lot of addons for SOS to be using the light version. I would think you should use the full package (pun intended) if your going to use addons. I imagine the addons where designed with the full SOS in mind, not the light version.

 

You also have CBBE and XPMSE pretty low in the list. I would consider placing them much higher.

 

But again, if you can specify what actions are causing crashes, it could help narrow things down. For all I know, none of what I said will fix your problem.
