Hmm probably no.After starting the DB questline Astrid and the other members become essential(someone correct me if I am wrong). Why not load an earlier save and kill Astrid in the shack? Edited by Amphibian

After you leave the shack, Astrid becomes essential yes, and you can't reset it. If you have some earlyer saves...but i guess you would have tried it. What did you think it would happen when you joined an assassin's guild? Ofcourse they are a$$holes, they're murderers and cutthroats. Try finishing the questline and see if the final stage satysfies you. And save often while you do it. Or see the UESP for spoilers and decide your course.

Maybe they're just not the right kind of "a$$holes". There are distinctions you know

I'm an obnoxious a$$hole, but I'm not a lying a$$hole... :D

I suppose it was the bit where I had to start killing people I had already decided to side with.

And I thought the whole child vampire thing was a little creepy... I decided she needed to have her head cut off.

I enjoyed killing the incredibly annoying character though (you must know who I speak of).
