Jcloth431
So I've always had a problem with Fallout 3 GOTY, ever since I bought it on steam I've never been able to play it from there. Using the NMM though, I could get it working with a couple of mods too! But now I've installed some new mods and the game won't even start D: Here's my specs: GTX 560Intel i5 2500k @3.30GHZ8GB RAM I'm kinda new with the mod manager so I'll post the load order here: Fallout3.esmBrokenSteel.esmThePitt.esmAnchorage.esmZeta.esmPointLookout.esmMart's Mutant Mod.esmEnhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esmEVE.esmEWE Energy Weapons Enhanced.esmFellout-Full.espEWE Load Order Fix.espEWE Supermutant Energy Weapons.espEWE Stormfront Studios Load Order Fix.espEWE DLC Addon.espEnhanced Weather - Sneak Bonus during Storms.espEnhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.espEnhanced Weather - Weather Sounds in Interiors.espEnhanced Weather - Radioactive Rain and Snow Plugin.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.espMart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.espMart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.espMart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.espMart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.espMart's Mutant Mod.esp Thanks in advance! BlackRampage
EWE Stormfront Studios Load Order Fix.espThis plugin is the reason why your game won't start. You only need this plugin if you have this "Stormfront Studios" mod, which you don't. Delete it. Fellout-Full.espIs this the Paradox Ignition version of Fellout? If it's not, you should get the Fellout compatibility patches for the DLC's. Also, any and all mods which somehow change the weather/atmosphere should also be loaded as low as possible. Move the Fellout and Enhanced Weather plugins all the way to the bottom of your load order. Btw: If you have the Paradox Ignition version of Fellout, why not get the PI version of EVE too? It's way more up to date then that old EWE mod and has all the same features. (and more)
Jcloth431
Game starts perfectly, thanks very much! Also, I just got the fellout recommended on PC Gamer the other day from the nexus, not sure which version it is... http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/2672
BlackRampage
That's the old one. Which means that you'll need to download the DLC compatibility patches. (they're on the same page)
Jcloth431
Thanks I will. Also just got into the museum of technology doing the GNR mission and the game just randomly crashes... It's done it 3 times now and I have no idea how to fix it. Any ideas?
BlackRampage
Hmmm, is that Intel I5 of yours a quadcore processor? If so, you might have the infamous multi-core bug plaguing your game. If you have a multi-core CPU, like the Quad, and you experience a Fallout 3 crash when loading interiors (Specially in closed spaces): - Open the folder My documents / My Games / Fallout3 - Edit the file FALLOUT.ini. - Inside FALLOUT.ini look for a group called [general]. - Inside the general group, after all the configuration parameters, just copy and paste the following 2 lines: bUseThreadedAI=1iNumHWThreads=2 Now close and save the Fallout 3 configuration file.
