akakon
I read all the FAQs and found no solution for this.I uninstalled NMM properly and installed Vortex all according to instructions and made sure firewall doesn't block Vortex. After authorizing log in at the website, every time I boot vortex I get error: "Failed to parse server response for request "https://api.nexusmods.com/v1/users/validate": Unexpected token < JSON at position 0" Tried restarting computer and reinstalling vortex but nothing helped so far.Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? the search in the actual website works well and if I download mods manually I can still use vortex to install them. Grestorn
Sounds like the website doesn't give a proper response (which would be a JSON text block). Usually the cause is that the website simply returns an error because it's over overloaded or down for whatever reason. And Vortex doesn't expect an error (in HTML) because it's not proper JSON. A very common problem I've seen with my own REST services quite often. I've seen that Nexus is down quite often in the last couple of days. Maybe they're targeted by Denial of Service attacks. So I would just try again later, hopefully at some point it'll just work.
