samv96UK Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 I am currently working on a city mod called Rochebere (Click here for the thread if you're interested). I have made several custom houses and shops all with NPC's but have trouble setting up the locking/unlocking door AI packages. For example, I have made a custom sleep AI package for an NPC, along with a work AI package for the same NPC. I have set the "Lock doors" bool as True on the Sleep package and have checked the box for "Unlock doors at package start on the work script. I have also made a schedule so that the NPC will sleep from 21:00-9:00, then work from 9:00-21:00. I have checked that the house faction I have made has been chosen on the door and that the NPC has the correct key to lock/unlock it. Despite trying this on several different NPC's, it has been tempromental and ineffective. The door usually locks at night okay the first time you enter the region, but most of the time it will not unlock in the morning, or vice versa, it will not lock at night. If I use the unlock console commands to enter the interior if it is still locked during the day, I usually find that the NPC is just waking up or still asleep for some strange reason, even though I have set a schedule (and ticked the 'must complete' and 'once per day' boxes). Can someone who has done this before shed some light on the situation and explain if I am doing something wrong or not doing this correctly? If all else fails, does anyone know If it is possible to make a door that locks automatically during certain hours, an unlocks automatically when it reaches a certain time? Thanks in advance!
