There are enough vampires in stock Skyrim, did they really need a DLC to make even more of them to kill?
StayFrosty05
Why popular? One word "Twilight". I guess the game makers must think if they add whats popular they will attract a whole new group of gamers to the game. Some reason I envision the development team sitting in a conference room and one saying, "Lets do an expanded storyline to Skyrim to address some of the things that were left unfinished in the original game. It will be a series of interesting and complex quests that immerse the player in a whole new gaming experience...... Naw, just kidding, lets add vampires, it'll be easy to do and we'll make a bunch of money." I said more or less this a while ago and was somewhat ridiculed for suggesting it, but I still maintain it's true. They're pushing for an entry into the teen-girl (and middle aged cat lady) market. What the heck has 'Twilight' got to do with middle aged women who have cats!?........I am a middle aged woman with a couple of cats (plus family)....Sorry Tetradite, but I find this comment rather offensive....Aside from strongly disliking 'Twilight' and it's teenage ilk (there's a few of these shows if I recall), I have never even heard of this stereotype your suggesting. Edit: Just asked my Brother in Law what this reference is supposed to mean...his heard of it and now I feel sick to the pit of my stomach....no, I am not some desperate and twisted lonely nutter fawning over 20 odd year olds.....I find it highly disturbing actually and dis-associate myself with speed.... Edited June 23, 2012 by StayFrosty05

And yes, i had enough of vampires and werewolfs. If they create a DLC that you are in the middle of the ocean in a ship, which will be attacked by sea monsters like hidra or the Kraken. Really cool. scot
I can´t remember lots of games that have vampires or werewolves, I don´t care about the fad with the twilight and stuff, I allways loved old vampire and werewolf stuff and I would love to see more games about it, like a remake of the vampire the masquerade bloodlines or even a vampire the masquerade 3. I hope now you know what I mean that you realise you are not in this group. I'm a total cat person FWIW, love 'em, but liking/owning cats doesn't make one a crazy cat lady, being a crazy cat lady is what makes someone a crazy cat lady. ;)

3WINTERS
Yeah I too was disappointed at hearing the first major DLC just expanded on already existent vampire experience but, it really is a case of if you don't like it, don't buy it. I'm personally waiting for the larger expansions and hope those continue to be sold retail on physical media.
