Adding new armor

Can someone help me with this?

I'm trying to export the armor from 3ds Max to DA:O but the armor shows a blank texture and the armor is moving normally.(I use "Character" Material Type with almost every Render Semantics)

When I export it with different Material Types such as "Prop Default" "Weapon" it shows the correct texture but the armor doesn't move at all in the game.

Maybe something wrong with the mesh when I imported it?

Including a description of the issue in your post, (rather than only in the images) might help. At first glance it looks like you're just posting a "Mod Request".

I described the problem underneath the picture. (in the picture)

Exactly! Much to small to read unless one opens the image. Since you want help, you might make it easier for folk to understand the problem instead of simply moving on because it appears you're looking for someone to make an armour mod for you. :whistling:

[EDIT: Your edited post is just what I meant! ]

I know we were talking about it in a PM, but I'm posting here in case others encounters the problem later. I recognize that "blackness" - I also get that when I forget to put the modifiers in 3ds max in the right order and/or the "edit normals" modifier acting up. Both are easy to fix.

In 3ds max, in the upper right corner when you have the mesh selected, you want to move your modifiers in the following order:

Unwrap UWV

Skin

Edit normals

(unless I once again remembered the order wrong, I'm not on my main computer so I can't check right now).

Sometimes the "edit normals" modifier acts up. You usually see this while moving around the modifiers above, with how the textures suddenly look "checkered" in black. The easiest solution is to simply delete it completely, and just add a new one from the list of modifiers (edit normals). Works without any problems.

It still shows the black texture. I tried to order the modifiers the same as above. I also tried to order it like this:

Skin

Unwrap UVW

Edit normals

I also created new Edit Normals but its not working either.

I tried "Face" Material Type with "Default (Face,Character)". It shows the right texture and moving normally which fixed all my problems above.

But........... my character doesn't have shadow in the game which is disturbing. :wallbash:
