Texture Pink And Black

I'm pretty sure by now, that these 'pink textures' most probably occur because the PC is OUT OF MEMORY. think the RAM, but not quite sure on that. might be the CPU or GPU as well. Mods and .ini tweaks require more memory than the 'pure' game.

Other causes might be load order issues/messed up 'load pathes'...

The models are simply 'naked'!

In my case, i got rid of some mods and texture replacers and get missing textures nearly never. some CTD after a while playin or in buggy areas like the GODDAMN RIFTEN AREA!!! but other than that my game runs and uses everything my PC has to offer. :)

I'm a bit afraid how the Dawnguard Add-on will affect it though...

I'm planning on installing my old skyrim Backup (which lacked, crashed or missed textures on my system) on a friend's PC, that's Ultra high-end. Plus every HD 4k texture mod and so on i can find after that. Let's see how that goes!

Continue to do so without reason, and there is no texture or Meshes seen that when I load the game you see perfectly after a bit you see black or pink. It could be the video card that can not load the textures right after? I in theory have AMD Radeon HD 6790 but the launcher says I Skyrim AMD Radeon 6700 why?

Have you checked the temperature of your CPU and GPU? If they are getting too hot, that might also cause problems.

I think you right i have CPU and GPU at 70°.

It also happens with the vanilla textures, I removed all the Mods and I are still pink and black textures.

But I noticed something else happens when I enter my house. (I'm not 100% sure)

When an object shows up with a pink/purple colour it means the textures aren't loading. Same for black on bodies.

It could be you've run out of Video Memory and can't load any more textures, or those texture files are saved improperly.

I agree with Tok84

@TheGReenLion:

The temperature, of course! Because of that i probably get the occasional CTD's sometime. My PC is howling after it, like the ventilation wass running at full rotation already. Don't know what to do about it though, but thanks for pointing that out!

I'm not going to strip my PC naked, because of Dust etc.

Maybe put a ventilator next to the PC? LOL

Nah, that wouldn't be nice for my energy bill and neither for mother nature!

I'll just live with it...
