sgtKraigO
Fair enough, but that should be an optional thing - for starters, even the courier of my sole NCR playthrough wouldn't betray the Remnants by giving away the password. It shouldn't be something that occurs immediately postgame. Agreed, I think the player should have to get Nellis AFB set up and in working order before they can mention it to the NCR. But after I would like to see it being used by the NCR as a refueling station.
MarchUntoTorment
Maybe it should also give bad karma to the player? Just a thought.
sgtKraigO
Maybe it should also give bad karma to the player? Just a thought. That sounds reasonable. Maybe the Remnants confront the player first but don't attack. Instead they send mercenaries after you which would act similar to Legion Assassins/NCR hit squads. The only way to stop them permanently would be to kill the Remnants or talk them out of it. The reason for the Remnants not attacking would be due to them lacking proper armour and weapons. Devilman1975
If the Remnants ever decide to hand over their bunker they would most likely give ownership of the place to Arcade. I can't ever see Arcade handing over the bunker to the NCR either given his opinion of the NCR. What I suggest as a compromise is allowing the player to enlist the Remnants for support and use of the vertibird. Daisy would be happy for any excuse to fly, Doc Henry can be called in as a medic and the rest of the group can support the players as temporary followers. It would be a good idea if the player is required to throw some caps to the Remnants for things like fuel and ammo costs. Some expansions to the bunker (that were hidden by secret doors) would also be a good idea. Nothing too big though, I doubt we could fit in a large scale vault. I can't imagine that the NCR are happy that a group of Enclave survivors are hiding out in the Mojave. The player can either convince the NCR to leave the Remnants alone considering their help at Hoover Dam, outright refuse or comply with the NCR's demands and kill the Remnants. The last scenario should result in losing Arcade as a companion. It would be silly to think that he'll continue to follow the Courier after something like that. In the Independence version it would be funny to hear some NCR propaganda about the player's association with the Enclave. Bizarre crackpot theories about the Courier being an Enclave sleeper agent. Maybe throw in a quest where the player can choose to sabotage or aid an investigation. Near the end of the investigation the player learns the NCR is trying to find the owners of the bunker (They know the Remnants are still around due to them showing up in the 2nd battle) and to serve justice for their previous crimes. sgtKraigO
Going back to the idea of the NV senators attempting to get money out of NCR politics I think it would be interesting if you through in some refernces to the Stockmen's Association. They could put a hit out on some of the politicians that are against them. There's not much information on them but I think there is enough to work with. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Stockmen's_Association

They may be the equal of some of the other big NCR powers (CC, gun runners etc). And they seem to be just as active in this time period (beyond the beef & Pheeble Will) and may have a few senators in their pocket too.
TheHolyLancer
I was wondering if there was a lite version of the complte post-game mod that was being talked about (in page 1ish) that just restores a quest with Mr. House to give up NV. Something like a sabatoge quest to make the Securitrons weaker or something (provideded you never gave him even the initial Plat Chip to upgrade them that is). And as such he decides that he must proceed this way after some speech or barter checks. Since honestly it was kind of weird for something like http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Offer_to_permit_annexation to exist, and for someone like him to not have a way out when he was in fact at peace with the NCR. Surly he would reconize his doom as the courier helped the NCR along and undermine his intrests.
sgtKraigO
Do you have something in the way of a main quest for the NCR ending? If you need help with it I'd be happy to help.
TheHolyLancer
Do you have something in the way of a main quest for the NCR ending? If you need help with it I'd be happy to help. The issue as I see it is. A) lack of modding experience, but hopefully the things I wanted to do is easy to do. B) No audio asset were recorded for such an event. So Mr. House will never say anything. At best I can is to make his lines generic / disappear (so he only says goodbye if talked too after wards). As I see it, if I progressed enough into the NCR line, then if he did not get his securitron mark IIs on the strip, then he should have the option to be convinced to surrender if you were idolized with the strip + NCR + freeside + westside (IE all the areas surrounding him) or with a speech (95 or 100) check, or maybe a terrifying presence check with only strip + NCR. But again, kind of need dialogue to make it work, and I do not have the budget to hire René Auberjonois or Ron Perlman to do their lines, and I have yet to find any trace of recorded audio / asset at all except for that one note.
