Jiala
So I recently decided to reinstall Fallout 4 and play that game again, its been almost a year I think since the last time I played. Now back then I used Nexus Mod Manager to install mods into the game and had no issue, even got Bodyslide to work under that to allow me to adjust the shapes with CBBE and a Skimpy armor mod, specifically https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7718 . But now with Vortex... I'm having issues. I'm trying to do what I did before, because the skimpy armor mod uses a shape that I find largely unappealing, I'm trying to adjust the shape using Bodyslider... but when I install bodyslider following their instructions on the mod page, either through Vortex or manual install (I tried both), the Bodyslider on first activation says it can't find the game and asks me to pick a directory for it. I figured it would be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\Data\ so thats where I pointed it. However Bodyslider comes up completely blank and doesn't load in any of the armors or shape data so I can't adjust it. Where should I point the Game Data Path? Or is there something I'm doing wrong with the Vortex mod manager? And with Vortex, the buttons for downloading the mods with the manager don't work with Vortex, it keeps trying to open the Nexus Mod Manager, until I uninstalled NMM and then it just says it can't find the app. So I downloaded each of the files through 'manual download', and then added them to the mods tab on the Vortex via the 'drop files' little thing at the bottom of that tab. It seemed to recognize the files, and gave me the options for installing the mods. Even pointed out the conflict between CBBE and the skimpy armor, and I told it to resolve it by loading the skimpy armor after CBBE. And when I load up the game the mods seem to be working, as I was wearing the skimpy armor with my old save, but I was using the shape from the skimpy armor, which I would like to modify. I apologize for the wall of text, but please I need help.
Jiala
I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. And I guess this is something that NMM did that Vortex doesn't at the moment. Basically I didn't copy the bodyslider files from the mods, e.g. the files inside of the Tools folder inside of the Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -v2.6.1-15-2-6-1 over to the ShapeData, SliderCategories, SliderGroups, SliderPresets, and SliderSets folders respectively. This can be done with a simple drag select the folders, right click then copy, then go over to the bodyslide folder and right click and select paste. This isn't really explicitly stated anywhere, and you'd kinda figure using a mod manager would get around such issues but... Anyway I just kept poking at it until I noticed something and experimented with it. Thank you to those who at least gave a look, the issue is solved and if someone else has a similar issue I hope this helps them figure it out. Alright, to anyone who comes here via algorithm of google or whatever. This is the issue I had for Skyrim Special Edition. Seems like Mod Organizer didn't install those files into bodyslider folders so I had to copy them manually. (Not sure if I can delete em in the mod folder after i moved em to bodyslider but whatever) Anyhow CBBE has it's own bodyslider folder, and it seems many mods do as well. I just had to move those files into the ACTUAL bodyslider section from the legit bodyslide mod. And now they showed up.
