beantownfan73
Sure do it through control panel and then go to your mod manager installation folder and manually delete that too. Then do a fresh install using a guide. Also use a guide to install SKSE64 I have installed MO2 and SKSE64 a million times but I still use a guide because im paranoid about missing something I was wondering what guide did you use to install mods in MO2? There are several out there but i want to use one that is reputable. Oh and i finally got RDO working; turns out you were right with me screwing up lol. I was using the Legendary Edition mod. I found the one for SE and the patch as well, so i got it working. MO2 told me what i was missing, there was a link, i clicked it and brought me to the Nexus page for the SE edition of RDO. The other mod managers never picked up on that, so i thank you very much! Oh and before installing any other mods, i tried once again to get the mod "Marriage - To Have and To Hold" working and the game fails to start. I followed the installation to the letter too, so not sure whats going on with that one. Anyway, thanks again for your help and suggestions, saved me a heap of trouble! QuagaarWarrior
Glad you got it working mate. I would avoid using Oldrim mods for now. Most will not work. Some will work after you have converted them. Some will work out of the box. If there is an SSE version just use that for now. Once you have a bit more experience you could look at converting mods but it isnt necessary. For a guide on how to install MO2 and mods and further programs look no further than videos posted by Gopher on YouTube. He is great at explaining things in a clear way and presents them well. Here is a link to the first video but he has 10 in total covering lots of different aspects of MO2 Edited November 9, 2018 by QuagaarWarrior
QuagaarWarrior
Other youtubers I would recommend: DirtyWeaselMedia - has videos on how to convert a mod from Oldrim to SSE Gamerpoets - has some tutorial videos as well as a great series of videos called '5 mods' where he details mods which will be used in his new load order. Wazalang - has a Let's Play going and also has a great instructional video on getting the mod Dyndolod working with Ultra trees in SSE Hodilton - does great mod showcases Brodual - as above Gopher has some great Let's Play videos which are worth checking out You may already know some of these if you have played Oldrim but thought they might be worth pointing out to you Edited November 9, 2018 by QuagaarWarrior

Daermonster
MO2, use a guide I do because like the last guy said im paranoid as well. NMM is for people who lightly mod, Vortex wants to be a contender but isn't because it lacks a virtual install drive, MO2 is very complicated but by far worth it if you can get it setup properly. I have a guide that needs updating but still has a ton of useful info on getting started here SEPTIM IN A HALFSHELL
Algabar
NMM is for people who lightly mod, Vortex wants to be a contender but isn't because it lacks a virtual install drive,[...] Correct from a technical point of view. Vortex in fact installs files physically to your Skyrim folder. So, no "virtual install". On the other hand, the functionality is the same: You tell Vortex what you want to have installed, and upon hitting "deploy", it copies the files for you - and changes them accordingly, if you change your mod setup. Yes, you have actual files in your Skyrim folder, but these are exactly the ones you want. IMHO, results are the same, and Vortex' method eliminates one step in the process (the virtual install), that could potentially cause troubles. Depending on your point of view, you could even call that the "smarter" and "safer" solution.
c0ax599
Since I started playing Skyrim in 2011 upon it's release, I've always used NMM back then. So when I got back into Skyrim SE in the last couple months, and I saw there was a new mod manager, with NMM STILL being unfinished, ran up some red flags about the NEW mod manager, Vortex... Why can't someone finish what was started before they start something else was my thoughts. So I stick with NMM, cause what i read about Vortex so far isn't stellar. At least I know NMM. I don't have no 150 mods installed either lol... I got 10-15 mods for minimal gameplay change (still adding more on occasion, and need to fix some of the normal bugs like blackface). So, yes, i'm a light modder. So far I've had no real problems with NMM, other than the categories.. I hate the categories.. They just get in the way and make things real kludgy for someone with a few mods.. I *think* that can be changed, afaik, maybe i'll do that someday heh..
