BolognaSandwitch Posted October 31, 2018 Share Posted October 31, 2018 i'm trying to set this up for my daughter & i get that i need this Q Mod Manager thing, already have it. but my issue is this, im trying to figure out where the "Mod Staging Folder" for Subnautica goes. now i'm assuming because of the Q Mod thing subnautica is a special case & won't go where i've been putting the others. if that's the case then where does it go? in the subnautica/QMods folder? i've never played the game & vortex is still somewhat alien to me so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TheGreatFalro Posted October 31, 2018 Share Posted October 31, 2018 The Mod Staging Folder should be an empty folder anywhere on your computer. Doesn't matter where it is as long as it's empty. My recommendation is "C:\Games\Vortex\Subnautica\Mods". Essentially, the Staging Folder is where Vortex actually stores the mod files once installed, and then it tells Windows that they are also in the game's folder. It does this so that you can easily remove all mods at once, by clicking the "Purge" button. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
