Help with merging .esps

So I thought I found out how to merge .esps, but when I use a merged esp (example- project nevada dlc patches merged) my game doesnt crash per say- but gets stuck at the menu slide of the ranger with no fallout new vegas or anything like that.

This is how I did my merging:

1. Find esps I want to merge in FNVEdit

2. Open all of them

3. Select all of the contents besides file header

4. right click- Deep copy as overide into...

5. Select new file- name what I want merge to be named

6. save and adjust load order properly.

What did I do wrong, if anything? How can I fix this?

Neither program can merge mods correctly. Fnvedit messes up formlists bad by sorting them (Ruins some weapons if they get a ammo with a custom projectile as first)

fnvplugin ruins leveled lists by removing duplicate entrys (For example, hat1, hat1, hat2 becomes hat1, hat2, totaly altering the chances of each hat appearing)

Ask PN to use modfusion if you want a smaller load order.

http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/702468-modfusion-a-new-fonv-mod-installer/

It merges while taking into account all other plugins installed by modfusion, to update them as needed.

As Cyberlazy said, FNVPlugin doesn't work if the two esp have conflicts. But it's ok if they don't, merging together a power armor mod and a power armor perk mod works fine as long as they don't touch everything else.

(I did this with Courier 6 Power Armor, Courier 6 Power Armor - Compatibility Patches and Power Armor Training - Self Taught)
