First off ... Modding Skyrim is not as easy as it may sound. Many many pitfalls along the road. Anyways hard to say what you will like but here is my list. I also use Unbleak enb and have a ton of added textures upgrades (you don't see added textures to this list). I use CBBE bodys (Caliente's Beautiful Bodies). This list has been refined a million times over the years. Been at this for over a decade. Set up for very sexy females, great looking Skyrim and realistic weather and food needs.

Like I said Modding at this level isn't easy it takes time and know how and support programs like LOOT, TES5Edit, exc ...

A good place to start would be STEP. Just google Skyrim STEP. A good tip would be to backup your entire Skyrim folder as you mod ( trust me on that one  ).

It is hard (in fact, impossible) to tell what you personally will enjoy. However, it is very likely that you will enjoy what most other people have also enjoyed. The nexus site for mods has the endorse and popular tags. You can see which mods have been "liked" the most and downloaded the most with simple search filters. Obviously its like a search engine and you can filter your results by keywords. In-case you found this forum without finding the mod site link, and are that much of a newb...

If you don't have anything at all yet...

(Feels weird seeing vortex up there) The link for vortex is at the top of the nexus mods site now. You're basically downloading a program to place files into a directory for skyrim to look at and load, so you won't accidentally ruin your install doing it yourself.

If you can't get it to go the first time, there are many tutorials out there, and they're very straightforward.

Choose your skyrim edition and begin searching. You can simply search for whatever tag you like and sort by popular.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, Static Mesh Improvements Mod, Immersive Citizens, and Skyrim Flora Overhaul.

These three will keep the game pretty much 100% vanilla, and do the most to flat out improve gameplay without adding a bunch of stuff.

Good luck.

A good idea would be to first familiarize yourself with the tools and what their purposes are. Things such a LOOT (a load order sorting tool), TES5edit (Which I'm still learning), SKSE (a script extender needed by more complex mods), FNIS (for animations) etc.

It also depends on your play style. Do you want a beautiful Skyrim like so many? Are you like me who has an ugly Skyrim but top notch performance? Do you want to focus on new game play features? Do you want to try to balance those or lean on a particular direction? Do you have a particular gameplay character style you usually go for (I.E. do you frequently play vampires, werewolves, elves, etc.)? All these things can effect what might suit your needs.

Also, it is important to keep in mind that some mods require others to function. These can be found in the requirements tab on each mod page. (Make sure your reading the right part. It will also list "mods requiring this file" and many people mistake the two as being the same initially.) If you can refine what specifically you want to do with your modding (as well as any concerns you have) we might be able to make things easier for you and offer recommendations.

For me there was a great deal of trial and error (and reinstalling) before I learned all the necessary tools and their uses/limitations. But there are plenty of video tutorials and written tutorials that can help.

The list I gave you has been set up over 10 years of play. I consider it the basics as it don't include any other mods.

Once installed I then go look for some "fun" mods just to play around with. Not that I think you should try to install all them
as some of them are a bit harder then just installing the mod. Just giving you a look at a fully fleshed out mod setup with all
the "bells and whistles". Just start small till you get the feel for it. Truth is for me I play "let's mod Skyrim" more than I play Skyrim.

95% of my Steam play time for Skyrim is with the creation kit. So even though Modding takes a bit to understand it can really be fun too.

Dare I say even better than playing the game ... (hehe)
